Review for: Street Food & Ethnic Quarters Kick Scooter Tour

Ping is a mature and well informed guide who took me through various spots around Singapore, including Little India, Bugis, Haji Lane, Chijmes, Raffles Hotel, new Chinatown etc and filled me on the multi-cultural history of settlements that happened over the past 1000 years in Singapore. She connected historical events with roads, buildings and other landmarks - that made sense to the listener. Since I had leg cramps, she modified the scooter tour into a walking tour and even personalised the street food for me (as I am a vegetarian). The Four hours were well utilised even though I got exhausted afterwards, as we walked for over 5.5 kms that day. But it was pleasant being in the evening. I suggest carrying a bigger bottle of water, an umbrella, hankerchief and comfortable walking shoes for this trip. Her historical knowledge of facts about various settlements was astounding and really made it a very special walk. It made the tour truly memorable. I also tried some local delicacies like bean curd, hand made veg spring rolls, egg parantha with sambhar and refreshing calamansi juice.

Review for: Street Food & Ethnic Quarters Kick Scooter Tour

The tour was tasty and informative! Our local guide Ping is very knowledgeable about the history of the different ethnic neighborhoods and population of Singapore. A kickscooter is a very fun way to cover the distances between the nieghbourhoods and more versatile than by bike!
