Hokkaido Summer Day Trip: Patchwork Road, Farm Tomita, Shikisai-no-oka, Blue Pond, and Shirahige Falls (Departure from Sapporo)
【Five Scenic Spots Tour】Patchwork Road, Shikisai-no-Oka, Farm Tomita, Shirogane Blue Pond, Shirahige Waterfall – capturing the essence of Hokkaido’s summer in one go. 【Flower Season Exclusive】From July to August, Furano lavender and Shikisai-no-Oka’s colorful flower fields bloom simultaneously, offering a romantic encounter with a limited-time sea of flowers. 【Sapporo Direct】Round-trip private car one-stop transfer, no transfers, zero burden for the entire journey. 【Relaxed Itinerary】Ample time reserved for photos at each attraction, with free time in Furano for leisurely dining and rest.
What to expect
【Shikisai-no-Oka】 Boasting a vast and beautiful flower field spanning 15 hectares, it resembles a seven-colored rainbow carpet, with different patterns of flowers changing with the seasons. Giant scarecrows also stand in the flower fields, which are very cute.
【Blue Pond】 Approaching Biei Blue Pond is like stepping into a fairyland, with a hazy beauty shrouded in mist, earning it the reputation of Japan’s “Little Jiuzhaigou.”
【Shirakaba Waterfall】 Named “Shirakaba Waterfall” because the water cascades down from the crevices of the rocks like white whiskers.
【Farm Tomita】 One of Japan’s oldest flower fields, it has evolved from primarily lavender in the past into a large pastoral farm with as many as 150 varieties of flowers.

Reviews
This was the first time we had Kevin as our tour guide! My mom and I had a wonderful time seeing all of these beautiful areas of Hokkaido especially Furano, Farm Tomita, and Blue Pond! I got to see the colorful summer of Hokkaido and it exceeded my expectations! I felt like the itinerary was planned well with good break periods for the restroom but also adequate amount of time per stop! Kevin did a great job being our tour guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable! He kept us timely and organized throughout the day so we would return home on time but did not feel rushed! It was definitely a great value for the tour and my mom and I had an amazing time! I would highly recommend this tour to all my friends especially since Hokkaido is expansive and it would otherwise be more difficult to travel to all these good sightseeing spots on our own!
I'm a day late writing this review, but I highly recommend it—what a wonderful memory! This trip to Biei and Furano was truly delightful! The biggest highlight of the entire journey was meeting our amazing and incredibly attentive guide, Hikaru. His ability to lead a tour group was truly impressive and meticulous! It's my first time encountering a guide with such strong language skills and attentive service. He provided detailed explanations in both Chinese and English throughout the entire trip, working tirelessly. He didn't let the fact that fewer people in the group needed English translation affect his efforts; instead, he meticulously translated everything from Chinese to English, word for word. I really appreciated Hikaru's sincere sharing of his travel experiences and his detailed explanations of the background of each attraction. Plus, there was absolutely no shopping promotion throughout the trip, which made for a truly pure travel experience! I highly recommend him and hope to have the opportunity to join a tour led by Hikaru again! I recommend him to everyone!
This is a must tour thst one should avail when visiting Sapporo. Although the flowers were not fully bloomed yet but still it didn't diminish the beauty and splendor of the places we went to. Thank you to our tour guide, Jenny, for helping take those beautiful pictures and for sharing the history and culture of every place we visited.
Eric Kaneshiro is an excellent guide. The buffet restaurant was full, but he took extra effort to ensure i could get in. Really appreciate him. The tour was amazing, well planned and prepared. Highly recommend everyone to book the tour instead of planning by yourself.
Our tour guide Mr. Eric can speak fluent mandarin to make my parents better understanding about Hokkaido culture and local specialties. A big thank you for his sharing and patience to our tour members. Me & my family enjoyed the trip very much 👍🏻
Yesterday, I participated in a summer day tour of Hokkaido, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! I definitely have to give tour guide Lucy and the driver a big five-star rating! Tour guide Lucy was incredibly enthusiastic and thoughtful. Her explanations throughout the trip were lively and engaging, and her time management was perfect, allowing us to enjoy ourselves without any stress. The driver's skills were also super professional; the ride was very smooth and safe, which allowed us to rest comfortably during the journey. The entire itinerary was well-planned and enjoyable, making for a perfect summer memory in Hokkaido! I highly recommend everyone to seek out Lucy if you come to visit! Thank you for taking care of us that day! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Beautiful day trip from start to finish! The scenery was amazing, and our tour guide Lucy made the experience even better. She was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and organized throughout the entire tour while also making everything fun and easy to follow. I also really appreciated how she kept everyone on time and the day running smoothly without ever making it feel rushed. Highly recommend this tour if you want a smooth, well-organized, and memorable experience!
Though was a long drive to and back from Sapporo about 2 hours each way, glad we had Eric as our guide as he was engaging with the 42 participants from different countries. As this time round is Spring Season and we did not get to see all the blooming flowers, we still get to see some pretty flowers too. Most importantly the sky was clear with cool conditions.
It was a very nice and senior-friendly experience. Our tour guide, Baste, was very helpful in managing the different nationalities on board. This was such a chill tour — I think I ate the most ice cream I’ve ever had in my life
The weather was super, blue sky with white cloud, cooling weather. The bus journey is rather long, to 3hr and fro 2hr. so this day trip sightseeing is about 4hrs. rather rush in each scenic place. Lunch order is short, though we have enough time to eat and shop. the air, flowers, the snacks and food are pleasing to the eyes and our taste buds. I never had such a super sweet and creamy raw sweet corn before! amazing ! The lavender ice cream is full of lavender aroma, great desert. also don’t miss the yogurt st blue pond. The water fall would think so so only. Flowers at Shikisai-no-Oka and Tomita are splendid. Lucy our guide, do lots of homework by sharing very informative details during the trip. History of Hokkaido, people, culture and also food in the place. she make us feeling very safe and knowing what we are expecting in the trip, what to buy/eat and what not to as well. 👍
