What to expect
Shopping in Myeongdong can get really tiring thanks to its crowded streets and fast-paced tourists. Thankfully, there's a spa here that serves as an oasis for exhausted shoppers and travelers alike! Myeondong's Hana Mud Spa also caters to women only so no boys are allowed here! Get to choose from various packages that all include a mud mask treatment, where therapists will coat your entire body in Boryeong mud, which will help cleanse your skin and have it as soft as a baby's bottom after you're washed. At Hana Mud Spa, you won't be pampered in only the best way but you also get to use its facilities of saunas and hot pools like your usual Korean jimjilbang. Included in the service is a fun hanbok-wearing experience too! You'll really get to look like a whole new person (literally) when you avail of these spa packages.

It was a great experience. Everyone should try at least once in their lifetime 😉Purchased pkg A. Limited English but enough to be understood. They had key lockers for your stuff. Basic include: infrared sauna (10 min) followed by regular sauna, shower, then completely nude for the 2 pools (min or 2), body scrub, quick hair wash/conditiner, rince, mud mask, sit in another room to dry (partial only?) then shower the mud off. For package A: went upstairs, shoulder massage, face mask, foot massage & bit of scalp massage. Afterwards, back downstairs to change (they had eveything you need - hairdryer, hair brushes, even a barley drink). Note: if shy & don’t want to me nude then might not be for you - you get a wrap for the sauna and going up/downstairs. Personal highlight was the body scrub & foot massage 😘I have major feet pain entering & pain free when I left. Very friendly staff. I would come again.
The address of this store is not easy to find. I couldn't find it on Google Map or NAVER Map. I finally had to look for a nearby cafe to find it. It is recommended that if you take Uber, set the location to Ppalgan Uchetong (coffee shop). The clerk does not speak English, but can speak a little Chinese. If necessary, it is recommended to translate your request to the receptionist at the door first. The auntie who scrubs your back is very helpful. When the bed is slippery with soapy water, she will help you turn around. She is very attentive. The massage lady will ask you if you feel OK, which is very considerate. I bought the cupping service from a full package store, and the cupping was just okay, so you don't need to try it. After the entire treatment, the store will also give you a can of barley tea and a free facial mask. All in all it was a very good experience and I will try it again if I go to Seoul again.
A wonderful and relaxing experience. The ladies were very skilled and explained each part to me. Easy even if you speak English.
Environment: Very clean, convenient location for transportation. Service: The front desk staff clearly explained the service details, including the order of sauna and bathing, which made me, as a first-time visitor to a Korean spa, feel at ease. Facilities: There are two sauna rooms with different temperatures. I only went into the lower temperature one, which I found sufficient, so I didn't try the higher temperature one. During the process, the front desk staff will remind you of the time, and when the time is up, they will invite you from the sauna to the bath. Then there are two soaking pools, with different colored water. I don't really know what the function is, I just know that you have to soak in them in sequence. Next to it is an area with curtains for the technicians to "remove dead skin" for guests. Then there is an upper level, which is a dry area for applying facial masks and foot massages. Masseuses: Basically, they are older women, but they are very lovely. They chat and laugh with the guests, and their techniques are very comfortable. Atmosphere: The whole experience was fantastic, and I would recommend it to friends! After finishing, my body skin was super smooth! I applied a ginseng mask, and my face was noticeably moisturized and radiant!
What a special experience! We made an appointment at around 9pm that night, and there were already several Japanese guests. Because it was an A package, we changed clothes and had a sauna first, then took a shower to wash off the sweat, and then took a bath. After that, the Korean auntie helped us massage our backs, which was super comfortable and clean. She also helped us wash our hair! After that, I will apply a mud mask all over my body! After that, I will go upstairs for a massage and a facial mask! Both are so comfortable! The cooking methods are very special, different from Thai and Vietnamese styles! But the whole experience was so fun and special! ! recommend!
wildest experience but 10/10 will definitely do this again when i come back to seoul! very limited english but just go with the flow and let them do their thing 🤭👍🏽
Booked the basic 90 min session but added on a 30 min back massage for krw40k. Focused on the body scrub as the scrub ajhummas are a dying breed. The massage was surprisingly good. wasnt too difficult to locate the place, the parallel lane next to exit 10 of euljiro ga 3 station.
I had a fantastic visit here. All the ladies were so lovely and the establishment itself was very intimate and cozy. This was my first time trying a mud spa and when I visit Korea again I plan to come back. The ambiance was great even though I was a little nervous beforehand. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and cleansing experience.
I had a wonderful experience at this spa from start to finish. My appointment was at 11 a.m., and I felt very welcomed as soon as I arrived. The staff spoke Japanese, which was incredibly helpful, and they clearly explained what to expect throughout the process. I enjoyed every part of the experience, especially the body scrub and the additional foot massage I requested as an add-on. All the staff did an excellent job and made me feel well taken care of. The establishment has an old, traditional charm—similar to a sento-style public bath—which I really appreciated. It added to the overall relaxing and authentic atmosphere. It was also my first time trying this kind of spa experience, and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to visit again the next time I’m in Korea! Gamsa hamnida!
We had a truly delightful experience with my friend. The ladies who attended to us were exceptionally professional and kind. They did an outstanding job. We spent almost two and a half hours receiving care, all for 70 euros. My friend chose the ginseng face mask option, and I opted for the foot massage, which turned out to be a full leg massage with a bit of upper body massage included. It was truly awesome. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone visiting Seoul. We plan to return one to two times before leaving Korea, if possible, because it was an amazing experience. We arrived from the airport and it was a relief to find a place that was so warm in this cold winter in Seoul, with all amenities provided. It's not just a mud mask; it's a sauna, a bath, a mud mask, a scrub, and lots of care and attention. They truly care for our body; it's really great.
