2D1N or 3D2N Sarawak Batang Ai Ibans Long House Experience

What to expect
Depart from your hotel for Batang Ai Iban Longhouse and start an exciting adventure through the rural landscapes of Sarawak. Travel by van through pepper plantations, rice farms, and crowded markets, sampling local cuisine along the way. Board a traditional longboat at Batang Ai Jetty and cruise through the lush jungle to the Nanga Ukom Longhouse, where the Iban tribe's warm hospitality awaits. Spend the evening on the common verandah, performing cultural traditions and tasting local rice wine. On day two, wake up to nature's music and have a modest breakfast before venturing out into the bush. Trek along gorgeous paths, experience unique flora and fauna, and engage in activities such as fishing and foraging for a picnic lunch.

it’s quite expensive to live in such condition but pay this amount. no fan, and no light /electricity after 10:30pm. but overall it’s interesting experience. but will not do second time for sure.
It was a refreshing break away from the city and technology. The tour guide was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Staying in the longhouse was a unique experience—something everyone should try at least once. With no phone signal in the area, it gave my parents a chance to relive their kampung days in old Singapore. We brought snacks for the villagers, knowing they rarely visit the mainland. Thankfully, we had enough to share with the whole village. Seeing their happy faces, we wished we had brought even more. At night, it was just the three of us sleeping in the longhouse, but instead of feeling eerie, it was surprisingly relaxing. I struggled to sleep, not being used to the environment, but it was still a peaceful night. We forgot about the hiking activity and didn’t bring the right footwear or clothing, but overall, the 2D1N experience in Sarawak’s Batang Ai Iban Longhouse was truly memorable.
