Prague Castle and Castle District Tour

The tour is very compact, and leaving very little time for taking photos. our guide Katherina is knowledgeable and humorous, and very passionate about the City.

We meet with our guide in the designated area 15 mins ahead of time. She’s accommodating and explain the history of Charles the IV and the Charle’s Bridge. Some of the guest is a little bit late but still she accommodated them, good for her. I just want to comment that we spent longer in the charles bridge, about 50-55 mins, perhaps it can be shorten so that we could go somewhere else. I included in our tour, tickets for the prague castle which is a good thing since the line for the tickets is long. However, I thought that we will end the tour going back to Charles Bridge but we were left in the Prague Castle to roam around and left there. Part of the group, where the tickets is not included in the tour, were able to go back to the designated area. Perhaps, she should explain earlier that they will not wait for us and will be left in the castle.

For us who were visiting Prague for the first time, we were very happy to have walked around the most beautiful castle area in 2 hours.

The tour guide was very lively and interesting, telling a lot of history and explaining what many statues represent. But we seemed to be in a group with two other groups of European and American tourists (participating in a six-hour tour), so instead of taking us back to Charles Bridge as shown in the itinerary, they met us again at Prague Castle and did not teach us how to return. , a little dumbfounded. In addition, the attached tram ticket only lasts for 30 minutes, which is only enough for one-way ride up to Prague Castle. When going down the mountain, you will not only be released by the tour guide, but also have to buy your own ticket~ But the guided tour is two hours, so the tram ticket should be provided for 90 minutes to be reasonable. .
