Reviews
I recently attended a pasta and gelato cooking class, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The class was held in a warm and welcoming kitchen, with an expert chef who guided us through each step with great patience and enthusiasm. The pasta-making portion of the class was incredibly hands-on. We learned how to mix, knead, and roll the dough from scratch, which was both fun and educational. The chef shared valuable tips on achieving the perfect texture.. It was satisfying to create our own fresh pasta, and the end result was incredibly tasty. The gelato-making segment was equally enjoyable. We were taught how to make a classic Italian gelato base, with a focus on balancing flavors and textures. The chef encouraged us to get creative with flavors, allowing us to experiment with a variety of ingredients. Watching the gelato churn and then tasting our creations was a real treat. What made the class truly special was the intimate atmosphere. The group was small, which allowed for personalized attention and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The chef's passion for Italian cuisine was infectious, and their storytelling about the history and culture behind the dishes added depth to the experience. By the end of the class, we not only enjoyed a delicious meal but also left with a newfound confidence in our culinary skills. The recipes provided were easy to follow, ensuring that we could recreate the dishes at home. Overall, this pasta and gelato cooking class was a perfect blend of learning, fun, and indulgence. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Italian cuisine in a hands-on and memorable way.
What a fun class. My husband and I were lucky enough to be in Jon and Lisa’s class preparing pesto tagliatelle, ricotta and lemon ravioli with tomato sauce and chocolate gelato. We had great fun and the food was very tasty. I have had some difficulty obtaining a copy of the recipe booklet that was to be provided to participants via email after the class (I was initially sent the wrong booklet and still waiting for a return email at the time I write this review). Would definitely recommend as a fun date night!
Our instructor was amazing!!!! This is a must do activity while in Florence!
Jon and Victoria were two amazing teachers and chefs. We all got to work with both of our hands. Freshly made pasta was much better than store bought! 10/10 , would recommend to anyone coming to Florence.
Great fun making pasta and gelato from scratch. Very clear instructions from the instructor so don't worry even if you do not have much cooking experience.
A very enjoyable class and the instructors are friendly and patient. Great to spend an afternoon learning how to make pasta and enjoy the food and wine afterwards.
Lisa was incredible. she really made the evening enjoyable and she was witty, charming and kind. this is worth every penny.
Chef was wonderful and taught us how to make ivioli and tagliatelle
we were looking for something to do whilst being in Italy and came across this pasta and gelato cooking experience. This was very enjoyable the chef Alice was so lovely, very informative and always helpful. we had wine and got to taste what we got to make too. Nice little setting and only 10 of us in the class. Definitely recommend if you LOVE Pasta and Gelato.
The three-hour course is very rich, and you can have a complete hands-on experience in the process of making flour from flour to noodles. There are two types of final products, which are also very rich. Only source & gelato are mainly demonstrated by the chef, which is a pity; the noodles are cooked in a large pot at the end, so you can't actually eat the pasta you made, which is a pity.
