I've used the same e-sim service for my trips to Singapore in the past two years. This time, I stayed at a hotel in the City Hall station area, which is quite central. I'm not sure if it's because I was closer to the city center, but the internet signal wasn't as smooth as last year. Sometimes it was a bit slow and laggy, but overall, I was still satisfied. Considering it's unlimited data, it's still a good deal. I'll probably buy it again next time...

Yes, you do need internet to activate the esim. Perfer to do it one day prior to your arrival at the destination country and keep the line off.
