This trip was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we set foot in the enchanting Douro Valley, our super friendly tour guide dazzled us with captivating tales of the region’s rich geography. As we embarked on the river cruise, the breathtaking beauty of the valley unfolded before our eyes, a mesmerizing tapestry of lush hills and shimmering waters. The highlight, however, was our sumptuous lunch at a charming Quinta, where flavors danced on our tongues and laughter filled the air. Then came the thrill of adventure as we ventured inside the colossal wine barrel—a thrilling experience that ignited our spirits and left us exhilarated! As if the day couldn't get any better, we were whisked away in a luxurious Benz, a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. It was the ideal way to savor every moment, from hotel to breathtaking destinations, creating memories that will linger in our hearts forever. What a fantastic journey!
Excellent food and wine, and the boat tour guide was witty and humorous, providing clear explanations. The scenery was beautiful, making for a comfortable and pleasant experience. The lunch was plentiful, and we learned more about vineyards and red wine. It was truly wonderful! 👍👍
Strictly speaking there was only one winery tour. The first one was a small winery operation but at least it was a formal one. The second one was just the place having lunch. It was very amateur and the visit to their steel container was just for 2 minutes. The lunch is very average with wine and roast meat which was overcooked. After lunch at around 1 pm, most of the time were waiting and the cruise was on 15:45. The cruise was for one hour on the Douro River and some snacks and a small cup of port wine. Absolutely not value for money. I will not join this tour again.
