Comfort Inn Charlotte Airport Uptown

When we arrived we parked in front of the entrance to check-in and to unload luggage . A shuttle driver appeared behind our car blasting his horn. I asked him what was the problem ; he just blasted his van horn and drove away. The receptionist said “Move your car”. I replied we were checking in . He just said again , in an imperious tone, “Move your car.” No explanation !! When we got to our room, the tv had the wrong remote, so you couldn’t use the tv. There was 1 tissue in the tissue box in the bathroom . Worst of all, the toilet did not flush. We went out for dinner around 6 PM, after informing the front desk of these issues . When we returned around 10:00 PM, nothing had been done. I called the front desk. Her reply was they would check things out the next day. When I said the toilet did not flush, she had my wife come down to the front desk to pick up a plunger! We had to use a plunger in order to use the toilet!!!!! The next day, after we informed the front desk again of these issues , a maintenance man came at 2:30 PM. He brought the correct remote for the tv. He said the toilet was no good and needed to be replaced. If you flushed 5 or 6 times every time it was used, it would eventually flush sewage out. But he left the plunger because we needed it several times again. The breakfast place was not cleaned quickly enough to accommodate all guests. There were empty beer cans in the elevator. This was our 1st and last stay at Comfort Inn. Never again at Plunger Inn!!

The lady who makes the breakfast was kind and helpful

The room was clean, however, there was a large dehumidifier in the room. We had to empty it 5 times while we were there. There is only one elevator working so it took time waiting on it since everyone was using the same one. The pool was open but it needed some cleaning and chemicals added to it. I did spend two days getting out dead bugs and other objects but I didn’t mind since I met some very nice people while getting a little workout in the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful to our needs and concerns. The hot breakfast helped to save us money and was good. Overall, we would stay here again. The night staff did go above and beyond when they picked up another hotel guest at a restaurant when she needed a ride back to the hotel when she couldn’t get an Uber.

My two rooms smelt like mold, the sink was broken in both rooms. The water stayed in sink for the entire time. Did not get our room cleaned the entire time. Will not stay Eve again.

Cons-The area of the property was a little sketchy at first. Sits back in a wooded area. Hallway on the 5th floor smelled moldy/mildewed. Bed sheets were thin. WiFi didn’t work during stay. Pros-Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was good with many options. Staff were polite. Location is in a good place with plenty of places around for food, gas, etc. Convenient to uptown Charlotte.

This hotel has the laziest staff I've ever encountered. Sheets and towels dirty upon arrival. Ask the staff for directions doesn't seem to know what or where anything is. The breakfast area unkept and unsanitary. There was hardly any parking after 10pm. Staff blatantly lied about unavailable rooms when asked about a later checkout. I will not be staying at this establishment again.

I enjoyed my stay.

The airport shuttle is always prompt and friendly. Parking is very reasonable here.

Musty

The rooms are old. The smoke detector was covered, which was odd. I informed the front desk but she responded as if she knew already. The staff was nice. There was a funny smell in the hallway but they seemed to spray a scent on the day we checked out because it didn’t smell as bad. Property is hard to find in the night, we almost missed it,
