Stayed with family

The room was dirty and the furniture was very worn and tatty. I checked in at 9 pm and the hotel was clearly pretty empty. Breakfast was very small and expensive. My son went golfing in the morning, but despite this very rude front desk staff member kicked me out of my room at 11am wanting to 50 GBP to stay another couple of hours. There were silverfish bugs in the bathroom. If you are used to higher standards, avoid this hotel.

Fantastic
A bit shocked they only have one left handed rental golf set and won’t let two lefty players share one set. Hmmm. Otherwise, amazing place! Great sausage rolls on the course!

Solo stay

It is quite dated, it could really do with having some money spent of it. Feels as if it’s not been updated or even had a coat of paint in the last 10 years. I stayed in an executive room, lots of marks on the walls, damaged furniture and it was just very tired. WiFi in the rooms is terrible. Staff waiting on tables and in the bar did t seem like they wanted to be there, no one checked if my food was ok, or if I needed anything

Was shocked how much I paid for the room and had no water or robes to walk to and from the spa. However found the bed and pillows too firm but gorgeous living room and bedroom and his and hers sinks in the bathroom with also choice or bath or shower. Over all had lovely stay!

We travelled to Oxford for a break from city life and found this lovely hotel. The service was great on check-in. The bar service was also very good. Drinks were a little bit on the pricey side of things. Our room was lovely and well presented and we found the bed to be really comfortable. There was one issue however. at night the balcony lights would come on automatically, which meant light attempted to shine into the room. If I woke up early without looking at the clock, I think the Sun was rising.
