Staff was absolutely amazing! My first time in Chicago. The staff was very helpful with welcoming my little family and directing us to the near by attraction. Would not have wanted to stay anywhere else for our first trip.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!! The location makes it a 10/10. I reserved a River View room and it was breathtaking! You can see the Chicago Riverwalk as you are waking up or about to go to bed! I will definitely be making another reservation at this hotel soon!

The staff was great. My girlfriend and I got there early and we were able to check in early. Check in was smooth and we actually stayed on the 35th floor. Room was clean, view of the river walk was great! Within walking distance to all our planned activities

Looks better on pictures than does in person. Rooms are very small. And no amenities, parking is very far, and no breakfast.

This is definitely an older hotel. It’s located between The Royal Sonesta and the London House right on the river and the River walk. It’s a short walk to Millennium Park (the Bean) and Grant Park. It’s also within easy walking distance to the either the bus lines or the train. Glad we didn’t rent a car it’s only $5 to ride any public transport all day. It’s also a straight shot from O’ Hare on the blue line. Our room was not large but it was clean and more than adequate. The staff were very helpful. The only glitch was that two of the elevators were out of service for a couple days. This made getting to and from our room an exercise in patience. So if you’re not looking for luxury accommodations but just want a clean room in a hotel with some old school character and with a great location I would highly recommend this hotel.

We came to Chicago for a concert and mini vacation. I have stayed in Club Quarters in NYC and River Hotel didn’t disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely return in the future.
