Fantastic Friendliest staff! Beautiful hotel in a convenient location. Queen room was spacious enough for two. Elevator is slow but had the gentlest stops š Nice Martin was a bonus amenity to have on property.

FantasticStayed with family Ā· For friends and family
We booked a deluxe double, but were given the opportunity to bid on an upgrade to a queen deluxe. The queen deluxe was spacious and allowed for some privacy with a little sitting area in a different room, as well as a tv in each room. This added on small room let us space out and not be piled on top of each other in a single room.
The kids loved it! When they entered, they were impressed, exploring the room and sitting area. The window sills were about a foot deep, so they sat and looked at the city from their "nest", and adorned the hotel robes after their baths. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a traditional style decor that was neat yet with a touch of personality.
As a family of 4 with elementary school aged kids, the neighborhood was perfect! There were easily over a dozen restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the Lucerne, and the minifridge and microwave made storing and warming leftovers a breeze when we were too tired to dine out or wanted a slow start. The Natural History Museum was an easy walk of 5 minutes, and we also walked to the MET, via central park, stopping at Belvedere castle along the way (about 45 minutes, once you account for turtle watching and milling around). The Riverside park (west about 4 blocks) was a 10 minute stroll with a solid playground and sprinkler for the kids.
I would definitely stay here again. The only thing missing was access to the terraces on the rooftop -- they are shown in the pictures but reserved for parties.

GreatSolo stay
Stayed little over a week. Conveniently located. Away from thorough fare of Time Square yet accessible by train. Walking distance to History Museum and Central Park. Great food all around. Was not impressed with the adjacent restaurant. Had breakfast 1 morningā¦. It was eh and WAY over priced.
Would definitely return. Lovely part of town.

FantasticStayed with kids
This Hotel is my second home in NYC, we just love it.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made me feel valued throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.

FantasticStayed with partner
This hotel is very well run, cleaned and maintained. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Location is incredible for access to Central Park or west side greenway. For those that say itās ātiredā I say more itās nostalgically furnished, the small touches like doorman, robes, good bathroom product, great linens all made this a special NY throwback experience. Goes to show a personal touch trumps the modern aesthetics in the box hotels.

FantasticStayed with kids
The Lucerne is a wonderful hotel on the Upper West Side. The location is wonderful-just blocks from Central Park and the Natural History Museum. There are so many great restaurants including the one next to the hotel, Nice Matin.
As with most NYC hotels, the rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable. Everything worked well. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel is great for families. I will definitely stay there again.
