Our 2nd stay was not as smooth as the 1st one. We booked ESG, which includes access to all pool & resto. Upon check-in, we were informed that we had been transferred to 1BRS & were assured that we would still have the same access included with our original rm. Unfortunately, it seemed that the arrangement was not properly coordinated among the staff. When we went to the L2 pool & bistro during breakfast, we were informed that we were not allowed there. We had to contact the receptionist each time to clarify & coordinate. Seem like small things, but when you spend $ for a vacation, having to repeatedly explain your room privileges can be frustrating. good thing all staff remained polite & accommodating, and they did their best to resolve the situation each time. Overall, Discovery Samal is still a beautiful resort. We just hope that room upgrades and access privileges are better coordinated so guests can enjoy a smooth stay.

My mother had a great birthday celebration last Tuesday. They had a great 3 pools, with one that's an olympic size. Very nice view and facilities. We also requested for a senior friendly room and it was such a great experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at Discovery Samal! I really loved the pool and, of course, the beach experience. 🏖️💙 The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and a great place to unwind without having to travel far. One of the best things about Discovery Samal is its convenient location—it’s just a short trip from Davao City, making it a perfect getaway for a quick escape from the busy city life. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely love to come back again! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing beach experience near Davao City. 🌴✨
