Our stay at The Lana was a lovely experience overall. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, very clean, well maintained, and has a truly luxurious atmosphere.
The rooms are impressive, extremely spacious, beautifully designed, and very well kept. The pastry shop at the hotel is definitely a highlight and a must visit. The quality and experience there were excellent.
However, for a hotel of this level, we felt that some details in the guest experience could be improved. The pool area was quite crowded, the water felt warm and unclear, and there was almost no shade available for hotel guests. The toiletries in the room were also disappointing compared to the standard expected from a luxury hotel.
The biggest area for improvement is service consistency. There seemed to be many staff members, but sometimes the organization and communication felt unclear. During breakfast, simple requests such as ordering an espresso could take a very long time.
I would especially like to mention Giulietta, one of the waitresses, who was absolutely wonderful. She was professional, attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful. She was the one person who truly stood out and made us feel well taken care of.
Overall, The Lana is a beautiful luxury hotel with amazing design, excellent rooms, and a great pastry experience. However, we felt that more attention to small details and a stronger service culture are needed to create the true “wow” factor expected from a hotel at this level.
