Great, friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Wonderful location close to the Roman ruins. I stayed with my wife and two kids in a double bed room and it was perfect. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was excellent - a great selection of cold buffet style european food and some hot options - and also a long service from 7am -10am so loads of options what and when to eat

3 night stay in Rome. The hotel is in a quiet area of Rome tucked up a size road a few minutes walk from Circo Massimo. We arrived after travelling by 2 trains and a bus and waiting at the front door as it was locked. After about 5 minutes the door was opened by the receptionist. No warm welcome, offer of a welcome drink or apology for the wait at the door. We completed check in and went to our room. We had booked a Junior Suite but were presented with a large room with 2 double beds. It was more like a family room than a junior suite. The hotel and room is decorated in neutral colours which makes it feel subdued and calm but the lighting is way too bright and not positioned well. There were other issues with the room so I went and spoke with reception and was told they were busy and no other rooms were available. A note was made for a manger to speak to me the next day. The room required some maintenance as there was a fair amount of paint damage, the shower valve and head were not in good condition and the dressing table had several marks that looked like burns. The second double bed had also seen better days. I was hoping I would be contacted the next day to resolve my concerns. I was not contacted and didn’t feel I should have had to chase this down. Sadly we didn’t not experience the warm friendly atmosphere here that we have in many other parts of Italy we’ve visited. On a positive note the hotel was clean and had really good breakfast options.

Great

We stayed 3 nights. Our flight got changed and the team were super helpful when we requested a date change, and his meant a room chance which was totally fine as the accommodation was very appreciated. Our second room was a bit loud, we could hear people coming and going and the plumbing in the walls, not a deal breaker but I bit disappointing. I’d definitely stay here again I’d just make a request to not be in room 101. The general area was super convenient and very quiet, bed was comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Thanks again to the team for being so helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sanctuary Urban Retreat. We spent 5 night and were very grateful for the comfortable bed and quiet neighbourhood. The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful part of Rome which is away from all the touristy hustle and bustle. We walked to most places or took the subway. There are great restaurants within walking distance just down the hill or a 15 min walk to the Trastevere neighbourhood. They have beautiful, clean and modern accommodations, the staff are wonderful and it's not too far from most of the major attractions. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Rome.
