No fridge or microwave. The shower curtain was weirdly short, so with every use the entire floor was soaked. The handle for the water faucet in the shower unscrewed off. I asked for towels and they never came

FantasticStayed with family Ā· For friends and family
Although I stayed 1 day it was great. Told my family and friends about the hotel that let's your fur babies come as well. I'm definitely coming back to this hotel next year. The staff was polite and helpful, and friendly. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Great Nice hotel with a few minor issues, such as dirty and broken window shades. The decor is old, but there is plenty of storage space for clothes and backpacks. The bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water to shower. I would return, just not pay a premium rate.

This is the second time since March we have stayed, 3 & 4 days each time, respectfully.
Room was clean and ready at our check-in.
The hotel is not brand new, but the beds, towels, sheets, and personal care products, like shampoo, feel fresh and very up-to-date.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient!!
The location on the corner of 57th & Lexington, is well located for the Upper East side.
The rates are very competitive compared to other hotels in the area.
Hotel 57 is quiet, though it is on too busy streets, so NYC noise is part of your stay.
My wife and I plan to stay here 2 to 4 times a year as we visit our daughter.
In short, a very nice place to stay while visiting The Big Apple! š

GoodStayed with family
Although the location, staff, and cleanliness were very good, the property felt old and outdated. The Jr. Suite we upgraded to was essentially just a room with a desk. The furniture was worn, the TV remote only worked from a few inches away, and there was no refrigerator or microwave. The A/C was extremely noisy, and the windows did little to block street noise, which was especially frustrating with nearby construction. The coffee machine was hidden in a closet, storage space for clothing was limited, and one elevator sounded like it was close to breaking down. I would not recommend staying here; there are many better options in NYC.

I would not recommend staying here.
The floors were dirty, our room had no windows, and the overall condition of the hotel was nowhere near what youād expect from a 4-star property. At best, itās a 2-star hotel.
The biggest issue was the surprise $150 ārefundableā deposit we were required to pay at check-in. We were told it would be refunded, but later they claimed it was actually a āservice fee.ā This was never disclosed beforehand, not by the hotel or on Expedia. It felt very misleading.
The staff were not welcoming or helpful, and the elevator honestly felt like a moving death trap.
Save yourself the disappointment and donāt get scammed by the misleading rating or hidden fees.

Just got back from our 4 nights stay at Hotel 57 and it far exceeded our expectations! While the room IS smaller than most hotel rooms nationwide- this IS NYC! We had a double bed vs our usual King - BUT .. still had the big screen TV AND a BIG closet, AND a NICE bathtub/ shower combo! Which we donāt always get in other places! They provided ālarge sizeā pump shampoo/conditioner/body wash that is āmid to semi high endā quality!! And pump lotion (very nice citrus quality) beside the sink. There is also a hairdryer/ iron and board in room. Coffee maker and coffee/ ice bucket (ice machines every other floor) and filtered water available at the gym!!!
We especially LOVED that you had to have your room key to even use the elevator- therefore, ONLY quests could access them! STAFF was VERY friendly! Smiles and greeting every time we saw one! Always asking how we were and if we needed anything ! 5 STARS! From check in to check out!
Our bed was SUPER comfy- premium duvet and pillows! And the AIR worked AWESOME!! Blackout blinds when needed and we also had a great view! NOW⦠the walls ARE a little thin, or maybe it is the door? As we were able to hear a lot of noise from others within the hotel on our floor- BUT- that wasnāt enough to distract from all the other GREAT š things !
The BEST thing though is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! OMG š±!! This hotel is LITERALLY 15-20 min walk from Central Park (we went to a concert) 25 min from Times Square!!!
