Things to do in Lijiang

Really positive experience! The entire tour was seamless and well-organised from start to finish. Our tour manager shared all the important information before and during the trip, including a detailed PDF, and coordinated with our driver/guide. She was also very responsive to all my questions. Warm outerwear, bottled water and oxygen tanks (personally didnt need this) were provided. Our guide, Mr 沈, was very thoughtful and explained everything clearly, including how to get around at each destination. He always made sure we were comfortable and replied promptly on WeChat too. The small group size was a bonus as we got comfortable with our fellow travellers quickly. We visited in early September and it wasn’t too crowded, as it wasn’t peak season. There was a slight drizzle, but the weather was nice and cool. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable trip!

We were extremely satisfied with our private customized trip to Yunnan; it was a choice we absolutely don't regret! First and foremost, the entire itinerary planning and communication process went very smoothly. The team is highly professional. They didn't just arrange things according to our requests; they also proactively offered suggestions and planned based on our ideas, preferences, and expectations. If you already know where you want to go and what you want to experience, it's even better to tell them in advance. They truly go out of their way to make sure your itinerary perfectly matches your expectations. Throughout the entire process, they were very respectful of our ideas and never forced us to go anywhere or do anything specific. Instead, they offered professional advice and allowed us to make our own choices. Communication via WeChat was also very convenient, with quick response times. Any issues we had during the trip were promptly addressed, which gave us great peace of mind. If you're considering a trip to Yunnan, I highly recommend booking their private customized tour! You won't have to worry about transportation, routes, hotel connections, or daily planning. You just need to get in the car and enjoy the journey. It's truly perfect for anyone who wants to travel easily while still having a high-quality itinerary. Additionally, I must give special praise to every driver we encountered on this trip! Each driver was incredibly friendly, professional, and very willing to share local culture, interesting stories, and the scenery along the way. This made the entire journey more meaningful and heartwarming than just 'checking off tourist spots.' Most importantly, every driver was extremely punctual; they never made us wait, and they were always happy to help along the way. We are truly grateful to them. Special thanks to our driver for the entire trip, Master Lu Chao. Lu Chao, thank you for your hard work! Thank you for your companionship, patience, and care throughout the journey. Your professionalism and attentiveness made us feel very safe and secure throughout the trip, and we made many wonderful memories. We are truly lucky to have met you this time! Overall, we have absolutely no regrets about this choice. Thank you to the entire team for all your arrangements, care, and effort! Our Yunnan trip was delightful and well worth it.

the driver is very good. he very particular about the time. because in the morning, we need to take turn for the toilet 😂. Then he seems fierce but he actually concern on our time to spend for the whole trip. At the blue moon valley, we need to purchase the ticket there, he guided us to the counter explained to us on how the route and check point for electric car because he was not joining us. Then again, he remind us about the time because we need to go to cable car for Yulong Mountain by 11am. We actually got so caught up with the beautiful scenery and almost past our time. There are too many beautiful spot that for photographs but we have time constraints. Fortunately, our driver checked on us and guide us via WeChat where to go and we arrive at cable car by 11.30am. There, he guided us to the check in gate. During our time at Yulong mountain, the mist is thick and it is so cloudy that we cannot see the mountain peak. And lesson learnt here, please make sure you eat before going up.

The seating arrangement in the VIP area was excellent, and we were provided with sun hats and bottled water before being seated. The performance, designed by Zhang Yimou, featured performers in ethnic minority costumes, creating a beautiful spectacle. The only downside is that it's weather-dependent; as an open-air theater, a heavy rain would detract from the experience.

Great show, worth seeing. If you select "tomorrow" when booking your tickets, remember to double-check your ticket confirmation details (for example, I booked tickets for July 13th for "tomorrow," but the issued ticket was for July 15th).

Had a really smooth and well-coordinated trip 👏 Highly Recommended! From the start, 小舟 managed everything efficiently—clear itinerary details and even arranged hotel pickup for a small additional fee (60元), which made things more convenient. The day before the trip, the driver/guide 携手 followed up with very clear instructions. Pickup was punctual at 5:35am. We were especially impressed that the team secured early tickets to ascend Yulong Snow Mountain by 7:30am (up to 4,506m). We descended by 8:30am—the higher climb to 4,680m was closed due to heavy snow the day before, making conditions slippery and unsafe. Next stop was Blue Moon Valley—transfer was seamless, we arrived around 9:20am, spending about an hour. After that, lunch was provided (simple pork hotpot with rice and vegetables). It was decent, though there’s definitely room for improvement. We then headed to the Impression Lijiang at 1:30pm, which wrapped up the experience nicely before returning to the hotel around 3:30pm.

We were extremely satisfied with this trip. The travel agency was very responsible and responded quickly; they also arranged special requests very promptly. All the luxury hotels we stayed in were very clean, and the soft furnishings were beautiful and antique. We were also particularly pleased with our driver, Master Li*Bao (Yun P93466). As a local, he has a deep understanding of Yunnan and was able to introduce us to various unique aspects of Yunnan and its ethnic minorities at any time. He was very friendly and enthusiastic. The commercial vehicle he drove was also very comfortable, and his driving skills were excellent; even though we had long journeys, we never felt uncomfortable. The daily schedule for attractions and outings was very reasonable. Overall, I would recommend the luxury private tour.

Very good tour. The Tibetan driver is a friendly guy. He gave us a lot of useful information along the tour. Highly recommended

recommended tour. the basic meal pack consists of a bun, banana and fruit and pepsi. we stopped by 3 photo spots on the way. at zhanglaoshi rest stop, we changed to a smaller car and drove to the halfway house area. then we started the 6.8km hike (3.2km up and 3.6km downhill). the driver is also the tour guide, my tour guide was very professional and helpful. i was inexperienced in hiking mountain paths and needed extra assistance and he was there to assist me on the downhill section. important to note that for people with no hiking experience, the downhill path is rather scary as there are no barriers and the path is filled with rocks. this middle gorge route also does not include the upper gorge, so you won't be able to get the "iconic" tiger gorge photo. pick this route only if you are interested in the experience of hiking haba mountain. the hike takes around 2-3h depending on your speed and experience.
