Hit two birds with one stone with the Piti Pass that allows you to enjoy two half day tours at Uluru, specifically, the Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta tour, and the Uluru Base and Sunset tour. Enjoy more freedom and get to decide when you want to take the tours - you do both tours in 1 day, spread it out and finish it in 3 days - it's all up to you! The Uluru Sunsrise and Kata Tjuta tour starts bright and early. Catch the sunrise as it settles over Uluru, while enjoying your morning coffee or tea. From there, travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta and set your sights on one of the 36 towering domes. Then, walk through Walpa Gorge, and follow the trail to the natural creek bed sandwiched between two of the tallest domes. Take the time to explore the gorge and then head back to Ayers Rock to end the tour. The second tour, which you can take any time within a three day full stop is the Uluru Base and Sunset tour. This tour allows you to take an afternoon to explore the base of Uluru. Take the Kuniya Walk, and from there, head to the Mutitjuli Waterhole, where you can get a glimpse of the ancient rock and learn about the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. While you're there, you can also visit the cultural centre then travel to the sunset viewing area to catch the breathtaking Uluru sunset - a fantastic way to end your day.
Fresh air, magnificent views, and a good amount of exercise, the experience of a morning walk around Uluru is a memorable way to start the day. You will rise early to be picked up in your comfortable shuttle bus departing for Talinguru Nyakunytjaku - the Uluru sunrise viewing area where you will enjoy a light breakfast and a hot drink to keep you warm. As you watch the first ray of sun hit the mighty rock, you will be learning about Uluru’s long history from your guide. Your first walk will be from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site. You will hear stories about the Mala Men before reaching Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the local Aboriginal people over thousands of years. Your walk will take you through to Kantju Gorge, where a waterfall plunges 90 meters into the side of Uluru. Next, you will reach the Lungkata Walk and expect to hear about the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard story from your guide! Afterwards, you will arrive at Mutitjulu Waterhole, a once-important water source for the Anangu people. Your last walk will be back to the base of Kuniya Piti where you will receive a certificate of achievement!

What people are saying about History Tours in Uluru & Alice Springs
Best value to mix and match tours, includes the National Park Pass which you’ll receive on your first tour. I did Uluru sunrise and day 1 and Uluru base + sunset on day 2 and loved both. AAT Kings staff are fabulous, provided hot coffee/tea/choc with biscuits on the freezing sunrise and sparkling wine with snacks on the sunset. These extra tidbits bring the already amazing lightshow on that extra level!
Both the sunset and sunrise tour were awesome. This package also provides the national park entry ticket. This saves us time from buying tickets separately. The tour guides of both tours are experienced and nice. They gave really useful and local guidance to us. I have enjoyed both tours a lot and they re definitely worth going.
