If you need to break from the hustle and bustle of Chengdu’s cityscape, then you might want to know that there’s a nearby mountain that you can explore. Book through Klook and go on a two-day tour to discover the wonders of Mount Emei! You’ll begin by riding a bus to a hostel near the mountain and check-in. Once you’re done with that, you’ll begin your exploration of this incredible natural gem. You’ll make your way to the Bailong Cave Temple, where you can offer prayers for good fortune and to clear your mind. After that, you’ll proceed to the Qingyin Pavilion, which sits above a river flowing down the mountain. There you can bask in the serene atmosphere generated by the rustling of colorful leaves and the soothing sounds of the river’s rippling waters. Once you’re done romping around the pavilion, you’ll be brought back to your hostel where you can mellow out until you fall asleep. On the second day of this tour, you’ll get taken to the Leidongping Parking and go for a hike until you reach the Jieyingdian Temple, another one of the ancient Buddhist shrines in the mountain. After that, you’ll go to the Golden Summit, which is 3,079.3 meters above sea level. There, you’ll get jawdropping views of the surrounding landscape below, so make sure to have a camera with you so you can take wonderful snapshots. During this awesome two-day tour, you’ll be accompanied by a bilingual tour guide who can communicate in English and Chinese. He will share riveting stories and incisive trivia about the mountain and the sites you’ll visit as you move along. You’ll also spot a wide variety of animals calling it their home, especially the wild macaques that are often found lurking near the mountain paths. This is definitely a must-book tour for any nature lover visiting the city of Chengdu.

Recommended to visit for all visitors to Chengdu, especially if you like pandas. Go early in the morning when the crowds are less and when the pandas are awake and having their breakfast. The guide assigned to me was very good and took the time explaining about each panda we saw and about their behaviors, etc. We learnt so much more about pandas!

Easy to use and allowed quick access without queuing . We arrived at the center at 7.30am just as the crowds started accumulating . I advise to take the tram up to the moonlight nursery as a starting point before making your way down. Best to travel between September to November as you can see the new infant pandas for the year ...so adorable ! Since it was Low season , we managed to get decent up close and personal shots which were awesome . They are a sight to behold . Don’t forget to see the red pandas as well ! The panda reserve has been constructed so beautifully . There was a lovely lake with beautiful swans , ducks and peacocks as well. Tip : go early as pandas are mainly active in the mornings! Also do check if seniors above 60 and those below 130cm need a ticket because many attractions in Chengdu did not charge for individuals in these age groups .

The redemption of the entrance tickets was seamless as we just needed to scan the QR Code on our printed voucher. We were Glad that we managed to catch some panda in action (the rest were sleeping as it was past their morning activity time). It was an educational trip as well. Would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Chengdu!

Great place to visit, just make sure to go early to avoid the crowds and see the pandas when they are most active. We took a cab from central Chengdu (DiDi) early morning and it cost 60 yuan. You can easily get the Panda Bus back from the exit after for just 10 yuan per person with stop offs in central. Can't miss the bright yellow booths as you exit on the right.

The panda research base is a must-see if you visit Chengdu. I had seen pandas previously in San Diego, but this is so much better! You get to see many of them, doing all sorts of panda things, and all so adorable! The bus operated smoothly, and the meetup location was easy to find. Our tour coordinator (小肖 Mr Xiao) was very helpful and provided a lot of interesting background information on the animals and the base.

A must place to visit in Chengdu. it's best to go on a cold day when the Pandas are most active. Pandas are born in October so if you want to see babies plan accordingly (7 month old Pandas are pretty big already). Don't miss the red pandas and the beautiful scenery in the park. To get there/out or there, take a taxi or the tourist bus.
