It’s our first time to the offshore islands of Singapore and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with our tour guide - Jack. He has prepared an itinerary for the entire team and arranged the logistics prior our arrival. He also shared with us many interesting stories about the islands along the way and volunteered to take pictures of scenic spots for us. Jack has also brought us around to different parts of the islands and at the same time, was mindful of the time too. We are truly thankful to have Jack and would return for future tours with him!
Our tour guide, Jack, was EXCELLENT. There was a family with their elderly member on wheelchair… Jack was there to give pointers on easier route and physically help and lend his helping hands to lift the wheelchair… all the time!
He is informative, responsive and humble. He has so many great stories about Singapore that I didnt know myself as a Singaporean. He makes sure everyone is engaged in his delivery and makes sure everyone is accounted for.
This tour is made more fun and enjoyable, and most importantly more heart warming with Jack’s presence. Will book again with my folks (:
Organized by tasty travels our tour was conducted by Jack and it was truly a 'tasty' adventure as we went during the month of June where we saw alot of Mangoes, Tamarind, coconut and many flowering fruits on the different islands. Brought my parents along and used Singapore Rediscover Voucher to book the ticket and guided tour.
Nice ‘overseas’ trip out of mainland Singapore. The beach at Lazarus was beautiful. We were lucky to be blessed with clear weather, though the heat and humidity got a little unbearable especially with young children in tow. Do prepare sufficient food and beverage as there are no shops at St John’s and Lazarus. Guide was friendly and helpful, contacting us a few days before the trip to let us know what to prepare for the trip. Besides telling us stories of the islands, the guide also showed us the flora and fauna found on the island. Definitely eye-opening and educational for the children. Thanks Jack for being flexible with us rescheduling our trip as our original booking fell during the Phase 2HA period. Thanks for the photos and video at the end of the trip too!
We went to 3 islands in total, first arrived at St.John and walk over to lazarus and then to Kusu island. It was a fun experience over all, felt like we were out of Singapore... Our guide Raymond, was sharing stories with us through out the tour, we will like thank him for making it such a pleasant experience for us. Do try to check the weather forecast first and go on a sunny day, as we went on a rainy day, we could not enjoy the sunny weather on the island which is a pity. Nevertheless, it was still a good experience and we will recommend it!
I would like to thank you Tasty Cultural Travel for organised this Southern Islands Hopping for us amid Covid-19 pandemic, so to let us temporarily avoid the city crowd and let us explore the southern part of Singapore to enjoy the nature part of the city. Honestly speaking if not this tour, I may not know these islands at all. I also like to express my very much thank you to Jack and Qilin to guide us for the whole journey, take beautiful photos for us and patiently explained the history of the various islands. Good job.
