Chinatown Food Tasting & Walking Tour

4.8 6 reviews | 100+ Booked
Join an intimate guided tour around Singapore's Chinatown area and discover both the culture and cuisine on this side of the city! Meet up with your guide along South Bridge Road and start your walking tour around the Chinatown Complex, beginning with a visit to the wet market. Here, you can observe the daily lives of the market goers and the vendors as they buy, sell, and banter on costs until they reach a compromise. Once you've made your way through the stalls, your tour will continue to the complex's hawker center, where you'll sample an array of local dishes like chicken rice, carrot cake, and Singaporean dessert - all of which are just a simple introduction to the vast and distinctive cuisine of the country. After your meal, you'll be taken to traditional shophouses where you can buy trinkets and souvenirs to take home, before returning your starting point to continue the rest of your day as you please.

What people are saying about Architecture Tour in Singapore

Such a fun tour of Chinatown! Our tour guide June had fun facts and I enjoyed learning about the Chinatown area as well as its cultural significance relating to modern Singapore. Also the food was fun to try out - trying hainanes chucked at the maxwell food centre was on my bucket list so this was a good opportunity. Also, I never knew kopi could be drank from the saucer and that was my highlight (depicted).

I really love this place! Magnificent architecture and lots of artworks to see. Currently there’s Georgette Chen gallery and Wu Guanzhong gallery at the level 4. And I created several posters at social table sent to my email. Don’t forget to go to the rooftop, Padang Deck, to enjoy the spectacular views of Singapore’s skyline. The gallery offers a wide range of artistic experiences and you will love to stay for 2-3 hours there.

It was great experience exploring this museum. Although I’m not Singaporean/PR to receive free entry to all exhibitions, the money spent for the ticket was totally worth it. Awesome place with beautiful architecture, also very informative as I learn some new things such as history of Singapore & history-related art pieces. Do note that you might need to reserve the entire day to explore the galleries in their entirety.

I took a one-hour tour of the Indian Heritage Center located in Little India of Singapore that went slightly overtime, but the enthusiasm and knowledge of the tour guide made it enjoyable. After the tour finished, I stayed about 60 minutes longer to see the rest of the museum--it is too large to be covered completely in an hour-long tour, but the guide gives you the best highlights if your time is limited. There are lockers available for bags and public toilets.

the tour only consisted of my fren and me, and the guide, Snowy. very fun tour, didnt know kallang wave is linked all the way to the merlion. Snowy was very friendly and flexible of pitstops, she also kept taking photos for us. highly recommended if you are looking for something new to do in Singapore

One of the must-do activities in Singapore. The Gallery holds many famous artworks within Singapore and Southeast Asia. I'm quite surprised to see many famous Vietnamese paintings are shown here. Due to the size of the Gallery, highly recommend you to spend around 4-5 hours to be able to go thru all galleries and exhibitions.
