With over 9 areas to explore, you'll surely have a full and enriching day at this museum.
Take the opportunity to visit and explore the Tokyo branch of Madame Tussauds, the world's most famous wax museum. Inside, you'll be able to get up close and personal with the world's most famous faces. You'll encounter many life-sized and lifelike wax replicas of celebrities like Audrey Hepburn, Elvis Presley, and Brad Pitt. Since this is the Tokyo branch, you'll also see wax versions of famous Japanese celebrities like: 1) Mao Asada the figure skater; 2) King Kazu, the country's first football star; 3) Taro Hakase, a prolific violinist; 4) Mitsu Dan, a wonderful actress and gravure model. If you've been longing to meet all these celebrities but can't get the opportunity to actually meet them in real life, seeing their incredibly detailed wax doubles is the next best thing. You'll also learn about the creative process behind the creation of the wax replicas as you explore the museum's many sections. If you want to unwind from all the sightseeing in Tokyo, then paying Madame Tussauds a visit is a must. You'll surely have a fun time taking selfies inside.
There’s something truly magical about the idea of coming face to face with a famous personality. Madame Tussauds in Odaiba, Tokyo makes this dream within anyone’s reach as it offers 70 life-size wax figures of the world’s influential leaders, celebrities and athletes, historical icons, and even Japanese artists. The resemblance between the figures and their real counterparts is uncanny, and one cannot help but marvel at the craftsmanship that goes into each of these creations.
Taking photos with the wax figures is most definitely the museum’s main draw, but interactive games and activities are added into the mix for an even more immersive experience. You and your family and friends can play digital golf and soccer, take part in a virtual quiz, have fun with a light-based game, and many more.
During the time of our visit, we were careful not to interact with too many high touch surfaces (due to COVID), but we still had our fair share of fun and enjoyment. Here’s hoping that on your visit, you wouldn’t have to worry about the virus anymore.
As you explore the museum, you can learn about the process behind the creation of the wax replicas. You also have the chance to create your own hand wax, but during our visit, it was not operational. It is worth mentioning that food and drinks are not allowed inside like in any other museums.
So, to all my friends out there! If you want to unwind from all the sightseeing in Tokyo, then paying Madame Tussauds a visit is a treat! You'll surely have a fun time “meeting” your idols and taking photos with them. Just make sure to visit early so you can have enough time to see everything the museum has to offer.
You may purchase the admission tickets online via Klook or through their website, or directly over the counter. Have a great time on your visit!

Amazing experience! So many interaction rooms and things to see and experience. One room had knee depth water so would recommend bringing your own pair of shorts or easy pull up pants. They do however provide FREE shorts hire and also FREE locker hire. You can bring your phones in to every room and get some great photos. Lots of things to do and see in Odaiba, would recommend doing a day trip there and doing TramLab before or after as it’s a bit of a train ride from central Tokyo.
Great experience!!! If you have extra time while in Tokyo this is definitely a must do. It’s a bit of a travel out of Tokyo but there’s plenty of public transport available to get to and from. It’s a different experience and we left wanting to try the Borderless one. Booking through Klook was easy and just opened the voucher with the QR code and had that scanned at the gate.
This had been one of the highlights of my trip in Tokyo.
Very organized because they let people in by hatch so it’s not crowded.
It’s easy to go to as it’s near the train stop.
Easy to reveal the voucher as the staff are well informed and can understand English
The installations are very interactive and enjoyable.
Side note be prepared to get wet as some installations have water up to knee level
Awesome experience! Highly recommended for all travelers who wish to visit Tokyo Japan, will definitely recommend to others. Lining up is easy and very fast specially if you already have an advance booking. Would love to come back and try this again with the kids. Educational and very informative. Interactive too, with the use of the team lab applications. Staff are very accommodating and helpful with every thing that you need,
Amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and professional. My husband was extremely sick the day of our tickets and so we went the next day. The staff helped us and let us use the previous day’s tickets. Inside was visually stunning. It was easy to get to from the train. About a 15 mins walk from a main station or right across the street from another smaller one. There was also a food truck out the front for lunch, which was very convenient. We enjoyed it so much we plan to go to teamlabs borderless when we are back in Tokyo in two weeks.
