Fantastic day tour to the Taj Mahal. Driver was on time and I felt safe the whole trip. Guide was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the building and the Indian culture. Also talked a lot about the modern society of India. The restaurant was also good with great local food. Highly recommend it when you're in Delhi with limited time. the Taj Mahal in the morning is definitely worth getting up that early!
Mahin and Vikash were amazing during the whole tour. We started in Delhi at 3am and Vikash was punctual to pick us up! The car ride was comfortable and we were supplied with snacks and water. We reached Agra as scheduled and met with our guide, Mahin. Mahin was very seasoned and was able to help us fast track our ticket purchase and queue into Taj Mahal. Because of that, we managed to catch the sunrise at Taj Mahal! The tour was amazing, with Mahin bringing us to the best photo spots to avoid the crowd. She was ready in helping us take photos and patient to explain the history of the place. We had some free time to walk around before heading over to Agra Fort. All in all, we felt at ease during the tour. Mahin was able to give tips for us as tourists. And when locals tried to take photos of me, Mahin helped to fend them off which made me feel safe with her around.
This is a tour you want to attend. Very interesting, colorful and well organized, especially if you have not much time in India. Bear in mind however that tour covers basically the transportation only. All tickets (as per the tour rules) are paid separately and are from 200 to 3500 rupees per person for foreign nationals. You are expected to tip handsomely 4 guides that will take care for you in deferent cities and 1 driver who will be with all the time. You will be expected to invite the guides and the driver for lunches and even contribute to the parking violation tickets, your driver may get. Be prepared to travel for many hours by car between New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The worse and longest was drive from Jaipur to New Delhi: 6 hs in the car!!!
the ride to Agra is fairly long, please make sure you take care of your driver by giving him breaks if you know what I mean. pro tip: there's a very famous chai tea served in disposable clay cup along the highway. stop there. the Taj is obviously a great wonder if the world to see. we went on December and lucked out having a clear day without smog. great guide. and be prepared to tip your guide and drivers, which you will have different ones from/to Delhi.
We booked the tour as a day trip from Delhi and it was an absolute treat! Our guide Uzer and our driver Balvindar were superstars! Uzer showed us an amazing lunch and a demonstration of how local marble is cut.
Uzer even took some great happy snaps of us at the Taj Mahal! He took us to the best spots for the best photos!
We couldn’t have asked for a better tour! 100 percent would recommend this to anyone!!
I love this tour and highly recommend it. We were picked up on time at our New Delhi hotel at 3am and was brought directly to Taj Mahal. The driver was very early and arrived at 1:30am but was very nice not to call or disturb us. Communication ahead of the tour was also very smooth via WhatsApp. Keeper Landwey, the travel agency who provided us the driver and tourguide is truly commendable for the way they take care of their guests. The tourguide Jalack was also very fun and entertaining, she kept us smiling often. She is an excellent photographer as well who knows where the best spots are and how to take it.
At Taj Mahal, we engaged a professional photographer there to take our photos and all of us in the group agree that it was a great idea because we wouldn't have know where it is best to take the shots. Additionally, there is a queue at the bench for taking photos and the photographer was literally shooing people away and asking them to move out after taking their photo. The tourguide says they would normally take our photos, but it won't be possible for her to guide us around and still go and get a queue number for the bench, to take the best shot of Taj Mahal.
Gaurav, our Taj Mahal tourguide together with Jalack, was very nice in handling the crazy pricing of the photographer though. The offer we agreed on was 100 rupees per picture to be printed, but if you want to get a copy of all the photos into a CD/DVD drive, he wanted to charge 10,000 rupees. Both Gaurav and Jalack spoke to him, and in the end, we didn't pay extra for the CD/DVD copy since I have 25 photos selected for printing. So good job to the both of them for not watching out for their guests and allowing tourists to get duped. Thank you both for taking care of us in Taj Mahal.
