Yosemite National Park is one of the world’s most well-known National Parks, as it is home to numerous protected natural wonders. Departing from San Francisco, you’ll pass through the Central Valley, which is one of California’s most pertinent agricultural areas. Taking up a massive 40-60 miles of land, it is a rich land full of farms, dedicated to produce and is considered a heartland of California. The next area is at the Sierra Foothills, located at the foot of the same Sierra Mountain Range that you’ll be able to view well from Yosemite. This area is well known for its vineyards and rich wine production. You will also get the chance to see the winding Merced River, a great place for swimming, hiking and even gold-panning! After this, you’ll see the Sierra Nevada Mountain range up close for yourself, and wonder at the majesty of them as they overlook the park. Throughout this trip, your driver guide will give you important information about each stop, so you’re also able to learn about the bounties protected within this National Park.

What people are saying about Hiking in San Francisco
Long ride from San Francisco but it was worth it. Kids enjoyed the 3hr hiking trail - no dull moments as the weather was brilliant when we went early late October. Have to leave around 6:45AM and we were back around 9PM. The driver was informative (i forgot the name but he has an Irish ancestry as he mentioned). We have enough stops made especially the supermarket one which is good for food stocks along the way. The bus was really clean and toilet in the bus was adequate. The canteen in the park had good selections of food as well. All in all - this is a highly recommended tour for people who wants to have a taste of Yosemite.
we took a bus from Gray Line San Francisco in 478 Post St, San Francisco. at the beginning of excursion you can see amazing sunrise. we arrived fast to Yosemite. during our bus trip driver was naming cities which we passed by. Info was boring. Couldn't be more entertaining. We stopped in several amazing locations for photo. You can see whole valley from it. After that bus parked in valley and we have 3 hours of our time. Park will be under shadow so it feels much colder. We went at 5december and main waterfall wasn't impressive but we liked just walking in the park covered by snow. You can travel from one location from another by park bus. You can find deers and wild fox!
Tall trees and mountains are beautiful. Overall experience was good.
On the way back we stuck in a small traffic jam in the center. and come back by 21 i think. I don't recommend you to plan you flight after the trip - you can miss it.
Driver can help you to take pictures if you're alone.
The bus will stop with a fruit store and a suprrmarket to let you buy some food or drink before you go into national park.
After arrival, we use the 3 hours time to go to mirror lake and Yosemite fall. It’s beautiful as photo look like.
Around 9 pm to arrive San Francisco downtown (depend on traffic).
We feel thankful to our driver Thomas who give us a pleasure, professional trip of Yosemite Valley.
The whole tour was amazing! From our very friendly and courteous tour guide and driver Mr Chabli, who told us a lot about San Francisco and Yosemite Park, to the breathtaking view of Yosemite Falls, El Capitan and the Three Brothers' mountains and the whole park itself! It was an experience worth the money and time. Although, the trip going to the park is long, but the bus was comfy and cool. If you want to explore Yosemite Park more, day tour is too short. You might wanna opt to stay overnight or 2 nights. Our big thanks to Mr Chabli for being a good guide and driver and being a friend at the end of the tour! 😃😃👍
The whole journey was smooth and the meeting point was not hard to find. The weather was being nice to us and we manage to have lots of free and easy time during the tour and capture many photos. Although 1 day was never enough to fully enjoy and submerged into yosemite beauty. The tour really gave a good insight during our tight schedule in the US. Thank you !
Everything went smoothly, we had a really great driver & guide and Yosemite Valley is amazing!
The only thing I'd do different next time is actually staying over night, because a total of 4-5 hours in the park is really not even close to enough. But if you only have one day I can highly recommend this tour.
