About the event
Titaniqué reimagines the story of the doomed ocean liner as told, rather improbably, by Celine Dion herself, who insists she was aboard and steers the tale according to her own flamboyant memory. Blending gleeful spoofs of the 1997 blockbuster film with a jukebox score built from Dion's biggest hits, including 'My Heart Will Go On' and 'All by Myself,' the show turns Jack and Rose's romance into full-throttle camp comedy, complete with audience banter, drag-inflected wit and a scene-stealing iceberg. Playing at the Criterion Theatre, it's a raucous, adults-only night out (14+, with strong language and sexual content) built for anyone who loves Titanic, Dion, or both, taken thoroughly, joyfully unseriously.
Devised by Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli and director Tye Blue, Titanique began life in a small off-Broadway basement venue in New York in 2022 before its cult following propelled it to a Broadway transfer. The West End production opened at the Criterion Theatre in December 2024, going on to win the 2025 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy, having already picked up three Lucille Lortel Awards in New York, including Outstanding Musical. London critics have embraced its chaotic charm, with Time Out recommending it and the Daily Mail predicting it 'has the mass appeal to run for months, even years.'
