Defending Our Nation As One
National Day Parade 2023's “Defending Our Nation as One” segment combines the Parade and Ceremony (P&C) and Total Defence Parade (TDP). “Defending Our Nation as One” serves as a commemoration of the commitment, resilience and contributions of all Singaporeans in defending and protecting the nation. It aims to unite and inspire Singaporeans to strengthen our solidarity and resolve amidst complex threats and challenges by emphasising the importance of Total Defence.
Building Our Shared Future As One
This year’s National Day Parade Show titled, “Building Our Shared Future As One”, celebrates the diversity that forms the basis and fabric of our Singaporean identity and resilience as a nation. The NDP Show comprises four live Acts featuring 43 artistes and 2,400 performers, interwoven with three short films. The films will feature 19 Singaporeans and their stories related to their dreams, passions, aspirations and giving back to society. These stories aim to inspire Singaporeans to build a shared future that is inclusive, full of opportunities and with a society that is kind, caring and big hearted.
Enhanced Aerial Display
In commemoration of the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) 55th anniversary, the RSAF will have an enhanced Aerial Display at this year’s National Day Parade.
At the pre-parade segment at the Padang, the RSAF’s C-130 transport aircraft will fly the Red Lions over the Padang to conduct the Military Free Fall segment.
During the Parade and Ceremony segment, iconic favourites – such as the “State Flag Flypast” and an enhanced “Salute-To-The-Nation” segment – will showcase pride and patriotism for our nation.
The RSAF will put up the RSAF55 Enhanced Aerial Display during NDP 2023 to commemorate its 55th anniversary and thrill the crowd with four profiles showcasing some of the RSAF’s newest assets during the fighter aerial display. The segment signifies the RSAF’s progress and transformation into a modern and capable force.
