Installation Introduction

To welcome the coming of the Year of the Rabbit in the Year of the Rabbit, MegaBox teamed up with Okinawa Prefecture, Japan to present the first large-scale New Year celebration installation in Hong Kong, the "New Year's Lucky Festival". From January 6 to February 19, 2023, 7 check-in booths will be set up in the L5 atrium, including Hong Kong's first 18-foot-high giant "Zhaofujin Pineapple Mirror Gallery", "Praying for Lucky Lions", "Hefeng Praying Umbrellas" ", "Golden Rabbit Welcomes Spring Garden", Qi Qi will get a little bit of prosperity during the Chinese New Year, and be lucky to welcome a good year! Every January and February, Okinawa Prefecture is the place where the cherry blossoms bloom first in Japan. Therefore, the installation also includes a "Romantic Cherry Blossom Torii Corridor" to let everyone experience the blooming cherry blossoms in Japan in Hong Kong. There are also "Okinawa Ryukyu Lantern Festival" and "Marriage Relationship" at the same venue. "Happiness Path" is full of Japanese-style romantic check-in spots, making everyone feel like they are in Okinawa, spending the sweet Lantern Festival and Valentine's Day with their loved ones and friends, and marching towards a happy new year hand in hand. During the event, MegaBox specially launched a brand-new interactive "Chinese New Year Lucky Blessing Game" to pray for a good sign for the new year and redeem small gifts for good luck to help you have a smooth sailing in the coming year! In order to make the festive event more perfect, many Japanese restaurants in the venue will launch a series of must-eat menus in Okinawa according to the theme. Hong Kong's first large-scale New Year celebration installation

For the first time, MegaBox brought Okinawa’s Chinese New Year to Hong Kong. Inspired by the fusion of local cultural characteristics and traditional Chinese New Year, MegaBox created 7 eye-catching check-in booths full of Japanese characteristics for New Year’s greetings.

"Zhaofu Golden Pineapple Mirror Gallery" and "Golden Rabbit Spring Garden"

The 18-foot-high "Zhaofujin Pineapple Mirror Gallery" symbolizes good luck and fortune. The room is composed of cut-angle mirrors. The ceiling is covered with colorful Japanese-style praying Temari lamps and pineapples, which are refracted through the mirrors, allowing you to immerse yourself in blessings In the atmosphere of Okinawa. There is also a "Golden Rabbit Welcome Spring Garden" in front of the mirror gallery, allowing everyone to sit on the giant golden rabbit to check in, and at the same time feel prosperous and welcome the Year of the Rabbit!

"Praying for the Lucky Lion"

Next to the installation, there are two "Praying and Lucky Lions" that symbolize Okinawa, standing in front of the torii gate to welcome everyone.
