Things to do in Pont de la Concorde

Enjoy museums like the Louvre and Orsay in two days! We visited a total of six attractions in two days. It's best to book the Louvre and Sainte-Chapelle in advance!

I took a tour with Guide Nowon, and it was fantastic! Not only did they explain the artworks wonderfully, but even though I was traveling alone, they took great photos for me. I had considered using an audio guide, but it was much more convenient because the group had a separate entrance line.

It was a great experience seeing these Attractions from the Seine River. The staff of Bateau Mouches accomodated us with our baby in a buggy and he led us to the stroller-accessible ramp.

It was such a joy to visit the Musée d'Orsay, a place I absolutely had to see to view Van Gogh's works, and to hear our guide share stories about Van Gogh's life. Beyond Van Gogh, learning about and experiencing the evolution from Realism to color-focused Realism and Impressionism through the works of Millet, Courbet, Monet, and Renoir significantly broadened my understanding of painting, which I had previously only learned from books. Thank you for allowing me to experience and feel what Impressionism truly is, rather than just hearing a description. By personally experiencing a feeling that I never would have understood just by hearing about it, I was able to delve deeper into Impressionism even after the tour ended. I highly recommend setting aside an extra hour or two for personal viewing after the tour. I hope everyone gets to enjoy this opportunity to vividly see and experience paintings that we've only ever seen as small images in textbooks, right before their eyes with our guide.

The small-group guided tour I chose was truly excellent, especially as I was wondering how to best experience the immense Louvre. If I had gone alone, I would have simply looked at the artworks, taken a photo, and moved on. Instead, this tour allowed me to view each piece from multiple perspectives and consider its historical background, meaning, and the artist's intentions. From the moment we started, even before entering the museum, Guide Choi Jun-ho's explanations of France's history and present day, spanning from the 1st century BC, made the three hours at the Louvre feel incredibly short. I truly realized the meaning of the phrase, "You see as much as you know." While a tour that simply provides explanations would also be good, I highly recommend the small-group tour where you can ask questions, engage in conversation, and immerse yourself in the history of each era. The guide's kind explanations and the songs in between movements made it a time to fully enjoy the romance of Paris.

Thank you for working so hard to manage and explain to so many people for so long. The Louvre is so vast that my child got bored at times, but it was definitely better to move around while listening to the explanations...

Highly recommend buying individual tickets. The package deals are a rip-off, definitely don't be fooled like I was. After buying your individual ticket, you can go directly to the express line at the attraction, saving you a lot of trouble.
