My family and I love the tour in overall. our tour guide, she was so professional and friendly (8:10 am 7/12). we are blessed with the good nice weather. i recommend to go in the morning, as it’s not that hot during summer.

This small group tour was great with two very friendly and interesting guides to drive us through the amazing region of Auckland, Cambridge, Hamilton and Waitomo. The journey to the first stop in the Alexander Farm in Watamata to get to the movie set Hobbiton was extraordinary accross the countryside, with our two guides full of anecdotes about the history of the land. The visit of the movie set itself, with a great guide, was incredible, with a story to every Hobbit hole of the set and many fun stories of the behind the scenes of the movie shooting. The visit ends with the exploration of two remodeled Hobbit holes in which it is so fun to take photos among the furnitures. The Hobbiton tour is followed with a drink at the tavern the Green Dragon. After the movie set, it was fine having a well deserved lunch at a local authentic restaurant, and to the next step: the exploration of the mysterious Waitomo Glowworm Caves, a wonder of NZ, with a passionate local guide. Our driver and guide, David, was very happy when we met him. I learned a lit of things and trivias about New Zealand as well as Auckland. He was very nice. The time for the tour was enough. Our guide within the Hobbiton, Kingston, was so funny! he was very effective as a guide.

I highly recommend this tour! It was incredibly comfortable, perfectly organized, and our guide, Anthony, was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The entire experience was educational, enjoyable, and truly satisfying from start to finish.

We had an amazing time yesterday at the Hobbiton Movie Set and the glow worm caves. Even you have not watched the movie, as most of those who joined the tour, you'll still have a good time. Hobbiton is so beautiful. We had a good time with our driver Raymond from Auckland and Beyond Tours. He shared a lot of information about NZ. The tour was worth it.

Our guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable about Auckland and Maori culture, he shared lots of stuff on the journey there which made the long trip feel more enjoyable! The Glowworm caves were super surreal, and it was great getting to see Hobbiton up close with some fun facts about their history. There was also water and snacks provided which was an added bonus.

Even on a rainy day, the Hobbiton Movie Set tour was amazing! Our guide was super friendly and informative, and he managed the time so well that we got to enjoy every part of the trip. The buffet lunch was really good too, and ending at The Green Dragon Inn made it extra special. Such a memorable experience—highly recommended!
