The tour guide thoughtfully prepared hot chocolate with marshmallows and blankets for us, so we could lie on the grassland and watch the Southern Hemisphere's starry sky. They explained the names of each star and how to find the South Celestial Pole. It was a night full of knowledge and romance ☺️. They also gave us reusable cocoa cups, and every time I see that cup, I remember the starry sky that night ☺️☺️.

The stargazing program was very fun and interesting. The guide was nice and upbeat. We rode the bus to a stargazing place, and when we looked up, the sky was full of stars. It was very beautiful.

The experience felt magical and expertly guided. The view of the night sky was breathtaking. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, explaining constellations, planets, and the stories behind them in a way that was both fascinating and easy to follow. Using the powerful telescopes made the stars and galaxies feel closer than ever. This was the highlight of my trip—an inspiring, peaceful, and truly world-class stargazing adventure.

Our recent road trip from Queenstown to Christchurch was nothing short of spectacular. This journey is a masterclass in NZ’s natural beauty, offering landscapes that feel pulled straight from a movie set.
Leaving Queenstown, the drive through the tussock-clad Lindis Pass is hauntingly beautiful. We made a quick stop in Omarama—before the scenery shifted into the dramatic Mackenzie Country.
Lake Pukaki & Mt Cook: Nothing prepares you for the first glimpse of Lake Pukaki. The water is an impossibly bright, milky turquoise. Following the shoreline toward Aoraki/Mt Cook was the highlight; seeing the snow-capped peak of NZ highest mountain reflected in the water is a memory I’ll keep forever.
Lake Tekapo: A stop at the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd is essential. The contrast of the stone chapel against the vibrant blue lake is stunning.
The final stretch through the Canterbury Plains into Christchurch offered a peaceful transition from the rugged alps to the "Garden City."

The whole tour was amazing, although the itinerary was a bit hectic. Except for Mt. Cook, the other stops were quite short — just enough time to snap a few photos before moving on to the next spot. It’s understandable since the destinations are quite far from Christchurch. They also provided free lunch and snacks (chips), which was a nice touch

I had a good time travelling from Christchruch to Queenstown. We were also stopped at several places like Mt. Cook, Tasman Glacier, Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki, Lindis Pass, Orchrdas and High Country Salmon. If you are travelling from Christchurch to Queenstown, you will be transferred into other van in Mt Cook. Don't worry, the driver is as welcome as the first one. Overall good experience, thank you!

The tour is run by Altitude Tour. the tour guide, James, did a great job by giving detailed information on the spots during the long journey. He managed to arrange a boat trip for us upon our last-minute request. It’s a great experience to be on a glacier lake!

My family of 7pax, ranging from the elderly to 4 children all thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It’s a very educational trip as we see how big the farm really is; how farmer make use of technology to cut down on manpower required on such vast piece of land; how they do crop rotation and have sheep out there to rotate on different pastures. The trip also showed sheep shearing, sheep herding demonstration and ended with a petting zoo experience with all the rescued animals. It is very engaging for city dwellers like us an a definite eye opener. Very well worth the money. special thanks to our guide, andy, for being patient and explain with such passion.

Small group format, adjusted many stops without changing the itinerary. The experience was much better than planned, and the tour guide told many stories along the way. If I have the chance, I will look for him to take other trips, the only regret is that the weather was not very good.
