    Casa Batllo virtual tour

A museum, a masterpiece and a UNESCO World Heritage Building

So, you’ve been cooped up at home due to the lockdown, and perhaps you’re starting to realise that your room needs a few changes. Would you like a classic theme that has stood the test of time? How about you take some inspiration from one of world's greatest architects, Antoni Gaudi and his masterpiece, the Casa Batlló?

    A little about Antoni Gaudi

In 1903, the building today known as Casa Batlló, in the heart of Barcelona, was bought by Mr Josep Batlló y Casanovas. Mr Batlló gave full creative freedom to Antoni Gaudi to demolish the building and rebuild it the way he liked.
But nope, Gaudi decided to keep the building as it is and instead, work around it. Ultimately, using his own creativity and vision, he made us believe that no matter what state our room is in right now, there’s always a better way to make it more artistic!
Antoni Gaudi is perhaps most well-known for his work on Sagrada Família, but he has smaller masterpieces situated all around Barcelona. Casa Batlló is one such masterpiece.

Casa Batlló is locally known as La Casa dels ossos or “House of Bones." It was included on the UNESCO list in 2005, and boasts some of Gaudi’s best works.
In fact, if you look closely, you'll agree that the breathtaking architecture of Casa Batlló is inspired by nature!
