Host Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm Fancy, your Eatwith host in Yunnan, and a native of Yunnan. My mother is an excellent cook, and I've always loved cooking since I was a child. Growing up, I learned to cook Yunnan dishes by watching and helping. I previously worked as a French-speaking tour guide for 18 years, and I encountered many guests who were very interested in local cuisine. However, in all of Lijiang, there wasn't a single place to introduce our Naxi ethnic food culture. So, I opened this kitchen classroom, so that interested friends can not only personally select, touch, and smell local ingredients in the market, but also make Lijiang cuisine with their own hands.

Experience Introduction

Four years ago, we opened our first guesthouse in Lijiang. As more and more guests from all over the world checked in, we also received more and more inquiries about Lijiang cuisine and requests for local restaurant recommendations. This gave me a bold idea: to open a kitchen classroom to facilitate the promotion of Lijiang's food culture! A year ago, our kitchen classroom finally opened in our own guesthouse, and we have since hosted dozens of food-loving guests. I have always felt that food is the most convenient, quickest, and of course, the most enjoyable way to understand a region's traditions, history, and culture.
