What to expect
We've created an outdoor space where everyone can personally experience the beauty of Fengbin, Hualien, and learn about the stories of the Amis people. We have the simple things: mountains, sea, grasslands, starry skies, sunshine, and handsome indigenous hosts (brothers!) to chat with. Plus, lots of millet wine! When you come here, remember to put down your phone, let go of your worries, leave your work behind, and fully enjoy the laid-back coastal lifestyle of Fengbin, Hualien.

Hai Fang Ni Base is a "no-equipment-needed glamping site," not a "luxury glamping site." We simply provide a small space for everyone to experience the "fun of camping and outdoor cooking," hear the "stories of indigenous youth returning to their hometowns," and have a "mini experience of indigenous culture." It's not perfect, but it embodies our initial vision and the stories that have slowly developed.
If you are a perfectionist, please think carefully before booking.
Our tents are in the first row with ocean views, but there is no air conditioning inside! No air conditioning! Only electric fans. Yes, it's hot during the day in the summer, but the evenings are cool, and the sea breeze is very comfortable, so you'll definitely be able to sleep. But!! In the morning, after the sunrise at 6:00 AM, you will feel the enthusiasm of the eastern sun waking you up!
In spring and summer, please be prepared to wake up early from the heat, as this is truly a camping experience!
There are four bathrooms, two of which are sit-down toilets, all located "outdoors." Hair dryers are also used outdoors. If it rains, we will open our home, the container house, for everyone to use for drying their hair. The indoor hair drying area will close at 11:00 PM.
Because the bathroom and toilet area is next to our neighbor's house, hot water is only available from 06:00-23:00.
We hope everyone can shower early and avoid crowding and queuing up late at night. Please remember not to shower after 11:00 PM! This will disturb our neighbors. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding! Dog entry cleaning fee: $300
