Whalesong Cruises Whale Watching Experience in Hervey Bay

I saw a lot of whales, very close. Although I took seasickness pills beforehand, I was very lucky that day and the sea was calm along the way. The meals on the boat were delicious and the service staff were super friendly. I recommend this ultra that you must participate in when you come to Hervey Bay in winter. It’s a worthwhile whale watching trip and will leave you with unforgettable memories. It’s great~~

Great whale watching tour with Whalesong. Great start, a courtesy transfer was included after we contacted. We were picked up by friendly driver. All boat staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Coffee, Cakes and Fruit were great too. The whales were fantastic - we saw 1 or 2 breaching and about 4 others displaying different behaviours. Good to hear information about the whales from the captain. It was the first tour of the season so we were happy (maybe hoped to see more) but overall very content since the sightings are up to the whales! Our only comments would be: we thought the captain could’ve been a bit more enthusiastic with the information and instructions he was giving us. We personally felt the lunch wasn’t great or even necessary. Nowhere for us to sit down so we had to stand up holding our plates meaning we couldn’t use knives and forks (which we needed for some of the food we were given) we would have much rather have rather spent the extra hour looking for more whales with maybe an extra snack. We were expecting to be back by 1pm with hopes of it even being a little later, however we made it back to the Marina a bit early. Having had a lunch but no Whale interactions since 11:30am. Lastly, hydrophones we’re advertised to listen to the whale songs which we were looking forward to. But we didn’t hear the hydrophones at all! Unless they were indoors away from the whale watching! Overall pretty happy. A well run tour and great to see these beautiful animals.

Enjoyed Whalesong Cruise very much. Saw more than 8 whales and there were 4 came near to the cruise. Watched whales in Gold Coast too, but the experience in Hervey Bay is more recommended! Highly recommended!!!
