Reviews
The VIP whale watching experience was excellent, with dedicated staff providing service in the VIP cabin. The meal box included sliced chicken breast, potato salad, a fruit platter, and bread – simple but tasty. We went whale watching at the beginning of July and successfully saw whales up close, admiring their magnificent breaching displays. We purchased seasickness pills on board for AUD 1 each and took them before departure, which allowed us to enjoy the whale watching experience on the high seas without issue. I recommend taking seasickness pills, as the boat really rocks when it's out at sea, and I saw several passengers vomiting from seasickness. The VIP ticket doesn't include hotel pick-up and drop-off service, only the regular ticket does. It would be great if VIP ticket holders could add hotel pick-up and drop-off service for an additional fee, as the pier is really far away and transportation is inconvenient.
Great experience! We departed from Redcliffe jetty on time (boarding starts an hour prior to the departure time - so you have plenty of time to arrive based on your schedule!), the captain and crew are friendly and helpful. Perhaps it was a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded. Love the audio guide about the islands when we pass by them (I wish that the audio broadcast could be louder though). During the whale watching hours, the waves were considerably rocky at some points. But, the crews were all there to hold us if we need a hand. Saw many whales at closeup and distant. Such a cool experience! Highly recommended!
We were well taken care of, the entire crew was friendly, helpful and accomodating. We were lucky to see many pods of whales today, and the weather was absolutely lovely.
It's really great experience to join and you'll have lots of fun. Thanks to the crew that are so friendly and professional all the time
VIP tickets do not include hotel transfer service; only standard tickets do. It would be best if VIP tickets could add a paid transfer service, as the pier is quite far and transportation is inconvenient. Some passengers on the boat experienced seasickness and vomiting due to the large waves. I purchased a 1 AUD seasickness pill on board and took it before departure, and successfully enjoyed whale watching on the high seas. I saw whales up close, and their surfacing posture was beautiful. The staff provided excellent and professional service, making the overall experience unforgettable.
I purchased VIP tickets, which were supposed to allow me to sit behind the driver's cabin and enjoy 360-degree whale watching on the deck. However, I noticed that non-VIP ticket holders were also able to access the deck, and I'm not sure if this is correct. The VIP ticket included lunch, which consisted of a salad box and a drink. With the whale watching experience lasting about two hours, there simply wasn't enough time to eat lunch. The captain was very professional and constantly searching for whales. I was thrilled to see a whale mother and her baby swimming freely. However, I've seen other whale watching companies in different regions that offer sightings of more active whales, so I might try a different company next time. The VIP tickets didn't include city transfers. I contacted the whale watching company via email to arrange a separate transfer, which cost AUD 45 per person for a round trip. Payment could be made online by credit card or in cash upon boarding. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to others.
nice trip, saw whales as expected, the crew were great. amazing day!
I had a fantastic time on this whale watching tour! The pickup and drop-off were smooth and right on time, with a friendly driver who made the ride very pleasant. Onboard, the crew were super nice and knowledgeable. They shared lots of interesting facts about whales while we watched them in action. We were really lucky to spot many whales throughout the trip—it was such an unforgettable experience! They offered motion sickness tablets before departure, which was very thoughtful. If you tend to get seasick, I recommend taking one in advance. Lunch was provided in a healthy and tasty picnic box—light yet satisfying. Snacks and drinks were also sold on the boat, but a bit pricey, so bringing your own is a good idea. Overall, this tour was well-organized, enjoyable, and definitely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting during whale season!
Whale activities are very interesting. You can observe whales up close. If you don’t want to take photos yourself, you can buy USB photos on the boat. It is a very professional experience.
The weather was super nice and it was great to see pods of whales and dolphins.
