Reviews
We had a wonderful tour. Graeme picked us up on time at the destination we choose from the list in Launceston. We picked up 3 more groups 7 people in all. We followed the plan set out. Graeme was wonderful at clearly sharing the plan of the day. He also was very informative and shared about each area we were in. Graeme actually went on the hikes with us and pointed out key information and answered our questions. We appreciated that he adjusted the main hike for the more advanced hiker, the family, and the older couple. He met all our individual needs and was gracious about all the adjustments. About 3:00pm we switched vehicles depending on who was returning to Their original location or moving on to the other side of Tasmania. At this point we headed to Hobart with our new tour operator/driver Clinton. He was a skilled storyteller and shared much information about Tasmania. We made one stop at a beach. He graciously retold stories and info for us new to the van. We still got our full tour and more. He also slowed a bit for photos. Clinton G. dropped each of us off at our hotels… all on time. We had a great day and learned so much. Great tour. Great tour guides.
this is definitely the most fascinating trip that one could have within Tasmania. Love the guide, he’s super nice, the views are amazing. Although the wine glass bay is so far from everywhere but definitely worth a visit.
A tad expensive but a convenient way to transfer from Launceston to Hobart without “wasting” a day as you are still on a tour. The wineglass bay is beautiful though it is basically the only attraction and the time spent there is abit too long.
The Wineglass Bay is just beautiful but the 45 minutes walk is still a challenge. The testing of oysters will be even better if it can be done at oysters farm.
Bottle of mineral water should be provided as this is a long journey and water station is not accessible along the way. Overall experience is great.
the tour guide is professional and helpful.
I got awful experience with this tour operator (tourstas.com.au). List of the hotels which they provide for drop off seems like just ignoring and asking again after you paid. My hotel was in the list, I put it, agency asked again, I answered in email again. But seems like operator is ignored or missed. I got another question about the luggeage - but again, operator is not very responsive it works till 4pm after that time even emergency number is not responding. OK, I thought - it is not too big city and Travelodge hotel in the center (most likely near other hotels) - so we can ask driver to drop us off closer to the hotel. Travelodge hotel is very central. The first driver didn't know anything about drop off points and recommended to talk to the second one. The second driver (identified himself as Steeve, I have his picture) was very rude, and didn't even want to talk about our destination - he said - I will drop you off in the location in my list and that is it. Even if next passenger just near our hotel he didn't want to do anything. Even some other clients before us Driver dropped off on the street in front of the hotel. There were more some small issues like we didn't know that need to bring lunch, and didn't know what time second driver will pick up us, tough uphill 45 minutes , but they all were such a small issue compare to this Not recommended at all.
