This historical palace is well worth a visit and you can easily spend a full day here with the extensive gardens. It’s well presented with lots of information boards and there are plenty of staff around who are happy to answer questions. We were fortunate to visit while there was a food festival on which was a bonus. If you are travelling by car the local train station car park is only a short walk away and is cheaper than the official car park if you are spending best part of the day there.
An amazing place to visit especially if you love history! Granted it is not that close to London, but it is well worth the trip in my opinion. You have daily trains from Waterloo station every day, and there is only a short walk over the bridge to the palace. Upon arrival I would recommend getting the free audio guide from the gift shop as it provides a lot of information if you want to get immersed into the history of the place. I recommend you start in Henry VIII kitchens and then follow along. If you don’t want to rush and enjoy yourself fully I recommend you get there as soon as it opens as the palace is huge and the gardens are vast. Definitely visit the gardens as they are tranquil and very beautiful - especially the famous Yew trees. All in all a 10/10 for me and I can’t recommend it enough!
You can go and see the Henry VIII dynasty because there are no very gorgeous castles in the Middle Ages, so you have to go to modern times.
Wow, so much history!! A bit out of the way but really recommend if you can get there, be prepared to spend some time exploring the castle and the gardens.
Hampton Court is very large, especially Henry VIII ’s kitchen is really worth visiting. Unfortunately, we only go in the afternoon. If we go in the morning, we can walk around all kinds of gardens. It must be great!
The card is very convenient to use. Easy to travel by train from London, only 30 minutes. The palace is very beautiful. There are many places to take pictures. You need to have 2-3 hours to walk around.
easy to use, can get the entry code immediately.
There are a total of eight areas, some of which are very hidden, be sure to take a map.
