This experience was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. The activities were so much fun, the instructors were kind, clear, and full of good energy. The whole vibe—from the peaceful scenery to the food and the way everything was explained—made the day feel special. What really stood out to me was the purpose behind the camp. It’s not just about seeing elephants; it’s about understanding them, caring for them, and learning about their personalities. These animals are clearly loved and well taken care of. It’s a beautiful way to enjoy time with them while actually doing something meaningful. Definitely a must-do in Samui!
very nice experience and it was also suitable to the toddler. we took the stroller with us but we didn’t need it there at the end, we stayed at the camp area for activities and it was only 10 mins walk to where the elephants were in the forest. one thing they didn’t mention in the description was lunch was provided.
This was the highlight of our trip in Samui. Everyone at the facility are so passionate about taking good care of the elephants. We had a great time. The video recap of the day was such a nice touch. Be prepared for a long ride to the location though. It took us an hour from Bo Phut. Please go and support their cause!!!
This was the absolute highlight of our stay in Samui. the centre is very well constructed and laid out. The elephants are obviously very well cared for. we prepared food then the keepers brought the elephants down so we could feed and take photos then hiked to the outside are to watch them eat and take more photos. With a coffee break mid morning the pace of the day was nice, it didn't feel rushed and although there were quite a few people attending it didn't feel crowded and everyone had lots of time with the elephants. The highlight for me was showering with the elephants and another photo opportunity. A truly fantastic and memorable day.
Educational yet entertaining experience. Hands-on opportunity on making food for the elephants and feeding them. You will also get to spray some water on them to cool them down. The tour ends with a delicious light lunch at the sanctuary. Our guide Best and her team made the experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
best experience anyone can get in kho samui i would recommend this activity as the guides as well as the elephant mahwaks are very friendly the food making for elephant feeding them all of it was a great experience
Usually, the elephant experience is an unethical tourist product where you ride on the back of an elephant and walk around. The elephant experience in Koh Samui is different. The experience provided by the conservation center, where we rescued elephants that worked to move trees, baby elephants that lost their mothers, and elephants with twisted backs, was a truly meaningful time. The experiences of making your own rice, feeding it, walking through a large field to be with the elephants, watching the elephants take a mud shower, and taking a bath together were systematic and fun. Drinks and water were generously provided throughout the experience, and the lunch served at the end was delicious. The round-trip pick-up was done safely, and the Chinese temple that the staff showed us during the pick-up was also fun. The kindness and professionalism of all the staff made me more happy, and I was grateful for their kind answers even to questions about my lack of English skills. The price is slightly higher, but considering what we experienced for 3 hours, it is worth it and the price is reasonable. Looking forward to the rescue of more elephants and their more careful care, this will be the most memorable moment of your trip to Koh Samui.
Very fun and informative experience. All the guides at the elephant home are friendly and easy-going. Recommended.
The price is a little high, but it is really worth it! It was a really immersive experience with lots of hands on activities such as preparing food for the elephants, walking with the elephants, pat them, watch them play in the mud bath, and you could even bathe with them in the pool (if you wish to, you can still watch from the side if you don’t wanna get wet)! The staff was really friendly and shared many information about the elephant home as well as the elephants under their care. The food was really yummy too! This place is really ethical and passionate about caring for the well being of elephants. Highly recommended!
Will there ever be another opportunity in my life to be this close to an elephant? The kindness of the older elephants was touching, and the kindness of the people and excellent system flow were impressive. I hope to see you again when I come back to Samui.
