Reviews summaryWe arrived early to look for the meeting place and found that the address was a souvenir kiosk. As we were too early, Venice Tours hasn't set up their signs yet. Just wait around and they will show up. We were given an audio guide and earphones. The guide shared information with us as we walked closer to the Grand Canal for the gondola ride, took around 15 mins. At this point, we returned the audio guide. There was an app to download for more info but it wouldn't load. We were 2, and shared with another couple and a gentleman. The gondola ride was around 20 mins or so for a quick experience. After that, only we followed the guide back to her office for the VR experience which was around 5 mins. It was really interesting and thought it was a waste the the rest didn't go for the VR Experience.
Arrive at the designated location at 16:40 or 16:30 on the ticket to gather. After check-in, the boat number will be given according to the number of people. There are ten boats in our area, divided into two groups to explain the history of gondolas and Venice. The commentators are fluent in English and the content is of high quality. Tourists everywhere in Venice will also pay attention to whether the group members are following the team. The commentary lasts about 20 minutes, and then board the boat according to the ship number to experience the gondola itinerary. Our boat captain was an enthusiastic Italian uncle. He sang for about 20 minutes during the half-hour boat ride. He kept a friendly smile throughout the process and chatted easily with the passengers. If he didn’t really love this job, he would have spent a day working. How do you maintain your enthusiasm and stamina to sing for such a long time? After the boat trip ended, the commentator showed up and said he wanted to give us a little surprise. He took us to a small shop to watch a 3D cartoon introducing the history of Venetian gondolas. During the film, you need to wear a 3D virtual reality head mask. The content is rich and interesting. It was as if I was immersed in the scene and I was very satisfied. All in all a great gondola experience.
The gondola meeting place is a little difficult to find, it's a little square. There is a guide to the gondola boarding point, but it's not in Japanese, so I feel like I don't need the guide. The gondola holds 5 people, but you can't decide where to sit, so I asked the person in front of me to send me a video of it via airdrop. It was a great experience to see the cute building from a different angle.
Our tour guide was great. We have a deeper understanding of Venice indeed. The gondola experience was once a life time one as well. Highly recommend to join when you visit Venice.
good value for money gondola ride. allowed to postpone my ride to the next day due to rain. 4 pax on a boat for my ride and it was around 30 min thru small canals and grand canal
Booking the gondola ride through Klook is definitely way cheaper than paying on the spot at Venice! The guide is quite knowledgeable and the entire ride is really good.
much cheaper than buying in Venice and they even gave us a complimentary surprise at the end of the ride. First time sitting on a gondola and it was quite fun and pretty!
Excellent experience - there was a short walking tour before boarding the Gondola; this was ended off with a VR experience of how Venice was like in the past. Highly recommended 👍
Meet around 15 minutes before the activity time, to check in and get the audio and sticker. Along the way to the Gondola, they give us some information about Venice.
Greeted by the uniformed staff friendly once arrived at the meeting point. everything was smooth. We had a VR introduction on the Gondola history before taking a short walk to the pier. The Gondola experience was great that we got the chance to tour around Venice slowly on the boat. The price on Klook is very reasonable when comparing to onsite appointment. Highly recommended!
