Fireflies Tour: Blue Luminescent & Seafood Dinner in Kuala Selangor

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AMAZING TOUR!! Raguraj, our coach leader was an excellent driver and guide throughout the tour. He was knowledgeable, professional, polite, and shared many interesting insights about the area, making the entire journey both enjoyable and informative. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The seafood dinner was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the evening was, of course, witnessing the magical fireflies and the breathtaking Blue Tears phenomenon. Watching the water light up in luminous blue was truly mesmerizing and felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and seamless. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area and looking for a unique and memorable nature experience. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a good tour with Rahve our driver. We had sufficient time in each stop - monkey feeding and the scenery at Melawati hill, followed by dinner and finally the bout tour to watch fireflies and bio luminescence. Let the driver/guide know about your dietary preference before hand.

The trip was excellent. We are able to visit a different part of KL in one tour. Visiting to a temple, feeding monkey (you need to pay on your own), having pre-ordered seafood at the 揚名海鮮餐 (the tour guide ordered the food in advance, rmb to let the guide knows if you have any food concern), and going to see the firefly and blue tears. The tour also offered hotel pick up service. highly recommended.

the trip is amazing from historical site to feeding monkeys, close encounter to amazing nature, seeing a lot in just a few hours. amazing seafood dinner with million dollar view. we enjoy the trip very much

After a short walk in the monkey park, we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. The food was pretty good. When the sun went down, we got on a boat, but instead of the rowboat in the guidebook, we got on a speedboat that can hold about 20 people. Good luck, Yamaha engine. After a while, we turned off the engine and let the boat drift by the grass along the river. The fireflies are yellow-green, but they blink quickly, and the person inside is the same designer as the first 5 meters of "Pirates of the Caribbean" at Tokyo Disneyland. After that, the engine roared again, and we entered the brackish water just before the river left the sea, and the engine stopped again. They gave us a long pole with a goldfish net attached, so we stuck the pole into the current and physically hit the sea fireflies with the mesh of the net. We could see a pale blue light in the net, but the mesh was too coarse to pick up even if we lifted it. If you want to see them under a microscope, you should carry a plankton net. Overall, we enjoyed the tour, but I'm sure it depends a lot on when it rained and when the wind blew. We enjoyed it even though it was a rainy day after the New Year, but if it rained on the day, the impression would be different. The weather forecast in Malaysia is not very useful, so leave it to luck and make a reservation. The toilets are the cleanest at the boat dock.

My family and I had so much fun with Shan. He's attentive, engaging, and very knowledgeable with the area. Due to the heavy rain, we were not able to see the monkeys (which was disappointing but not the guide's fault). Somehow I thought we would have close contact with the fireflies, as in fireflies on hand, but we just drove by them slowly on the boat (which was fine with me since I didn't want to bother them in their natural habitat and stress them out!) The blue tears was magical for me but if you're expecting to see all blue like the pictures, please bring better cameras. The luminescent light can only be captured with cameras that have higher ISO. I simply took a mental image of the experience ❤️ Thank you, Shan! you made our experience fruitful with knowledge and fun.

It was a fun and well planned tour where we got to catch beautiful sunsets, have a good dinner with chinese cuisine, and enjoy a night time boat ride to see the fireflies and blue tears. Highly recommended.

We highly recommend this trip! We booked a private tour and it was definitely worth it. Our guide Faris (who we recommend you request if possible as he was fantastic) was very knowledgeable and couldn’t have been more attentive. We really enjoyed all the different activities. Just make sure you take some change if you want to feed the monkeys (10 ringgit per bag), which I suggest you do!

The experience was really great! Additional adventure with the rain pouring throughout the experience especially when we visited the Monkey & Lighthouse. We're lucky even if it rains, we are still able to proceed with the experience. We would love to come again next round but would love to explore more like the Sky Mirror.
