What a fun fun experience this was. Our Guide 'Ou' forgive my spelling, was great and very informative if you asked the questions. He's been at this business the longest and was able to get us around the Mangroves(we got to see the monkeys), The Jungle and the open ocean on the Kayak tour. Joined up with a family for the first half and then headed out to the ATVs on my own. loved the fact that we got to see some monkeys and we had most of the places to our little group. made for some great photos by ourselves away from the crowds. I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour, half or full day it's a great experience. we were provided life jackets and a dry bag, be sure to bring Mosquito spray, lotion, waterproof bag for your phone, a change of clothes and a towel. they have lockers on site to lock your stuff up. we left valuables in the car.
Really good experience, the pacing was good with enough sight seeing, picture taking, adventure into the mangroves. Managed to see some wildlife, crabs, starfish, monkey, snails, some fishes. Refreshments provided were great as well, some local snacks and coffee / Milo were offered and an assortment of fruits at the end. The guide was very friendly and even paced it so that we were able to experience the areas with minimal crowd.
We had a super great Kayak experience lead by super friendly, funny and patient guide who is Mr. Ooh. Highly recommend to follow this guide. He even prepared some local snacks and desert for us to have a picnic at a small shaded beach which we saw wasn’t included in other tours. The journey took about 2 hours plus which was about 6km kayak but it was not as tiring as expected, as part of the journey was just flowing with water and enjoying the nature’s sound and peace. The whole journey was also partly shaded as it was in the mangrove forest, so it was quite comfortable. Overall, we highly recommend this kayak journey with Mr, Ooh, it was an unforgettable experience for us!
Highly recommended. I’m a solo traveller who joined a tour. Our guide, Ooh, picked me up from my hotel then the others before heading to the jetty. I was given the option to ride with Ooh or on my own. Which was nice. Downside of going on own is stopping to take photos or videos slows you down. Otherwise, all good. Ooh speaks basic conversational English & guided us in a comic way which makes the tour light-hearted & enjoyable. We had a stopover in the middle to have picnic which Ooh prepared pineapple, local snacks & cold water for us. Did not see other groups do that, Ooh really went the extra mile for us to have a good time. The view of the calm water, cliffs & mangrove was beautiful. Definitely a 2 thumbs up experience 👍🏻👍🏻
It was such a fun experience. The views along the way were amazing, and I really appreciated how the guide planned everything strategically to avoid the crowds. As a solo traveller, I was paired with the guide, so I ended up having plenty of time for taking photos—which I loved!
My favourite experience I’ve had in the whole of Thailand so far. Our guide was super nice and funny and provided us with some free, authentic Thai desserts. The scenery was beautiful and the kayaking route was so fun. All for a great price too.
We were picked up on time, taken to the bay in a comfortable vehicle. Once there, they provide a waterproof bag to keep belongings (camera and imp stuff), and the rest can be kept in an open locker. We put on our life jackets and after the basic instructions on how to kayak, we started off. The kayaks were in good quality. The day we kayaked was a high tide day so we were lucky to go deep into the bay to see the stunning mangroves!! Kayaking is difficult if you've never done it before and the narrow areas around the mangroves were tough to maneuver. However, the guide had an assistant who accompanied us even though we were the slowest in the group. We felt safe at all times. Seeing the mangroves was really an experience! Our guide treated us with traditional Thai sweets during a quick break and later provided us with freshly cut fruits (pineapple, watermelon). He and the team were amazing!! Overall the activity was close to 3 hours. Definitely recommend.
Kayaking through mangroves was peaceful and fun! The views were beautiful and the guide provided heaps of snacks and fruits.
The guide Oo (Arun) is very fun and good at what he does. On time pick up, good and clean kayaks, nice scenic route. If possible, check and go during high tide when you can complete the full 7km kayak route. Fair warning if you are going solo/odd group, solo kayaking can get tiring if have weak desk job arms like me 😂 Would recommend the ATV as well if it's your first time, new and clean bikes.
I booked this half-day kayak tour through Klook the day before. On the morning of the tour, a staff member will call to confirm your hotel pick-up time. After being picked up by a pickup truck and collecting guests from each hotel, it's about a half-hour drive to the kayak starting point. Each kayak fits two people. If you're alone and worried about your stamina, you can pay to pair up with an instructor in their kayak. The highlight of this tour is the incredibly beautiful mangrove forest environment. If it's high tide, you can traverse the entire mangrove forest, but you won't be able to rest on the beach. If it's low tide, you can rest on the beach, but you'll only be able to explore half of the mangrove forest. Each has its advantages. I went during high tide and traversed the entire mangrove forest, which was really fun. Half a day is enough for this tour, and it's a must-do activity in Ao Nang.
