Mekong Delta Day Tour from Ho Chi Minh with Luxury Limousine Options

My son and I booked this Mekong Delta tour just the day before, and everything was organised seamlessly. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van, which was very much appreciated on such a hot summer day. The drive from Ho Chi Minh City took around two hours and was smooth and comfortable. The tour itself was a fantastic experience. We took a boat to Coconut Island where we watched coconut candy being made, sampled tea with royal jelly, and even had the chance to hold bees! We also enjoyed a wonderful performance of traditional Vietnamese music which gave us a real taste of the local culture. One of the highlights was being rowed through the peaceful canals of the Mekong Delta. After that, we enjoyed a delicious lunch before making the relaxing journey back to our hotel. A big thank you to our guide, Kenny, who was knowledgeable and friendly and to our driver, Ruby, for getting us there safely and comfortably. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a truly wonderful tour that allowed us to leisurely enjoy the Mekong Delta, a representative tourist destination in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since it was a private tour rather than a group one, we could enjoy it at our own pace. The boat ride was thrilling, providing a truly unique experience that can only be had here. Even though we made a last-minute reservation the day before, we received a confirmation call right away, and everything was well-arranged, which put us at ease. I was truly surprised by how quickly they responded. This time, we chose a plan with a Japanese-speaking guide, and Ms. Huong, who was assigned to us, was absolutely wonderful. She chatted with us casually during transit and was attentive to our physical condition and pace, making her consistently polite and warm demeanor very impressive. Furthermore, she told us to contact her anytime if we had any problems during our stay, which allowed us to enjoy our first visit to the Mekong Delta with peace of mind. The tour content was also substantial, making it a highly satisfying tour that efficiently allowed us to experience the charm of the Mekong Delta. I felt that this tour company is especially recommended for those looking for a Japanese-speaking guide. The explanations were thorough, and simply not having to worry about the language significantly changed the sense of security during the trip. The Klook website where we booked was also easy to use, the price was reasonable, and considering the content, it was thoroughly satisfying. Even with a last-minute reservation, we felt secure, the guide's personality was excellent, and the tour offered value beyond its price. It was absolutely wonderful! They picked us up in the morning, and even though we requested a small-group Japanese tour, it ended up being just us on the day! Talk about VIP treatment! Our guide was also excellent at speaking Japanese and explained everything clearly. We felt at ease at the honey and coconut workshops because there was no hard selling; you only bought something if you wanted to. Since we started early in the morning, everywhere was uncrowded. By the time we finished everything, it was packed with people. We got to eat a lot of fruit, and the pineapple with salt was incredibly delicious! It was the same sensation as putting salt on watermelon. The fish for lunch had a slightly earthy taste, but it was still good! The stir-fried morning glory and fried rice were also incredibly tasty! The boat ride was like a real jungle cruise and so much fun! We were dropped off at our hotel after 4 PM, and we had a very fulfilling day. Thank you so much! We'd love to book a different tour next time!

I saw this on TikTok and immediately decided to book it! Even after participating, I felt that this experience for the price was incredibly good value. You get to have an amazing time that truly makes you feel like you've arrived in Southeast Asia, so you absolutely must sign up! Our hotel was at a pick-up point, so they came to get us downstairs at 7:40 AM (it was actually around 7:35 AM, right on time). Since we chose the luxury limousine option, the journey took a little over two hours, but it was very comfortable. The seats reclined! For the first 20 minutes or so, our guide explained the history of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Mekong Delta in English. About 15 minutes before our next stop, we went to a place like a rest area! It's highly recommended to use the restroom here. Our tour started with a temple visit; after about 30-40 minutes there, we moved again by bus. The guide provided explanations and helped us take photos. After about five more minutes, we arrived at the boat dock. First, all of us (there were 17 people) boarded a motorized boat to Unicorn Island. Here, we listened to folk songs while sampling different fruits, drank honey tea at a bee farm, and even had a snake draped around our necks. We then moved by boat again, and at the next location, we sampled coconut candy at a candy factory and fed crocodiles. Afterward, we had lunch. The food was generally lightly seasoned, but I found it delicious! The elephant ear fish (there's a photo) is served as fresh spring rolls, but you can eat the remaining parts too. Since it was quite lightly seasoned, I asked if there was salt, and they kindly brought some on a plate for free! It's incredibly tasty with salt, so I highly recommend it. The restrooms near this spot are surprisingly clean, according to a friend. After that, we rode a hand-rowed boat for about 15 minutes (this was an experience, not to go anywhere specific), and that concluded the tour activities. Then, we took a tuk-tuk back to the boat dock, boarded a boat, and finally returned by bus. Everyone on the bus was fast asleep on the way back! Lol. We arrived at Ben Thanh Market around 5:15 PM. Our guide spoke excellent English and spoke at a pace that even I, who isn't fluent in English, could understand, allowing me to learn about Vietnamese history. A Japanese-language tour would have been much more expensive, so I think choosing the English tour was the right decision. Thank you so much!

Since our accommodation was a hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, a pickup vehicle came right to the hotel entrance. Mr. Hung greeted us warmly, and we boarded the car. We joined a small group, and the vehicle was a limousine, which was excellent. Thanks to Hung's friendly explanations about the Mekong Delta, the journey there wasn't boring. The driver (Tung) also drove comfortably, making the tour very relaxing. The tour included a tropical fruit tasting and lunch. It was also an experience that allowed us to learn about the local culture. The fried Elephant Ear Fish and the spring rolls made from it tasted even better knowing they were local dishes, and the lunch was plentiful and delicious. With various modes of transport like a large boat, a small boat, and even a tuk-tuk, along with a well-organized itinerary, the tour was never dull. During the tour, we had honey tea and coconut candy tastings, and we could enjoy them without pressure to buy, as there was no forced purchasing. However, the coconut candy was so delicious that I bought two bags. It was a fun experience, and I feel like we made the most of every part of the tour. The group photos and our family photos that Hung took throughout the trip will surely become cherished memories. The drop-off back at the hotel at the end made it a truly wonderful experience. A special thanks to our tour guide, Leo, who made the experience even more memorable. He shared many interesting facts about Vietnam, its culture, history, and the places we visited. His explanations were informative, engaging, and helped us appreciate the tour much more. Leo’s hospitality was exceptional. He was friendly, professional, attentive, and always ensured everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. His positive attitude and dedication truly stood out throughout the trip. The scenery, activities, local food, and boat rides were all great, but Leo’s excellent guidance made the tour truly special. Thank you for an amazing experience. Hong, our guide was super sweet and knowledgeable. the tour was even able to pick us up from our hotel. The first stop was the temple. It was lovely. Then we were able to spend about 20. Kind of a bit short on time to really fully enjoy the temple and Buddha statues Then we took the boat ride to Mekong River and visited unicorn island then coconut island. Each island had such a fun unique event going on. Unicorn island had the local bees and tried their honey drink, held a python 🤣, and got to taste local fruits while listening to some locals folklore song. Next step was to visit coconut island where obviously known for coconut producing fruits, candy, and such. Got to try some wines. Took a little tuk tuk to Mekong River (the funnest part in my opinion) and ate lunch then walked around before leaving. Ended the boat ride back to the Mariana with fresh coconut. 10/10 was a fun excursion. it’s a long day so pack snacks, water, sunscreen. We went in June so it was humid.

This tour was all worth it: worth the time and money and all the exhaustion 😆 I just want to appreciate Ruby (Team Operator) for assisting us when we got delayed joining the team because of an unfortunate misunderstanding with the taxi driver. She made it possible for us to still join the tour despite the trouble. I also would like to commend and acknowledge Kyle, our tour guide. He is absolutely amazing!!! He made the tour fun for us, as we were sweating throughout. He personally assisted me all the way, getting to the boat, walking some distances, etc (I am a PWD). He made sure I was comfortable. He also sang for us! Thanks, Kyle!!! Back to the tour, the boat ride to the Unicorn Island and the Kingdom of Coconut was enjoyable because Kyle shared stories with us. If you're considering a Mekong Delta tour, you should definitely go! Honestly, I was a bit worried about the hot weather, but our guide was so thoughtful and attentive. They kept us entertained during our travels by sharing interesting stories about local culture and other tidbits, so there was never a dull moment. I got a lot of great photos, and the meals and itinerary ran smoothly without any delays, which was very satisfying. Thanks to our guide, Ryan, we made many wonderful memories. I highly recommend it! 👍

That's great! They also offer temple tours. However, the tourist spots are hot, so a fan and hat are a must! The bus had good air conditioning and was comfortable. It was nice that there was no pressure to buy anything or give tips. The fish dish looked good, but... hmm, it tasted like muddy carp, so it probably wouldn't appeal to Japanese palates. By the way, a 250ml beer is an additional 30,000 VND, and a 250ml Coke is an additional 20,000 VND. If you don't particularly need them, you can bring your own drinks. Please note that the final bus stop is Ben Thanh Market, which is different from the initial meeting point. However, if you tell the tour guide on the way back that you want to be dropped off at the SST office, they should drop you off there, so you can rest assured.
