Wow moment honestly!! The best tour we've experienced in Japan. Mayo thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passion. As someone who doesn't really drink alcohol, you put your energy into including me and help me find the style of Nihonshu (sake) I do enjoy. From this moment forward I had the confidence to know what I wanted to read labels in Japan.
The tour had throughly introduced the processes of making Sake, explained what's the difference between different type of Sake. This make a person like me who had no experience with Sake found interesting. The instructor, Miyuki had been patient and helpful within the whole tour. Will 100% come back for the advance tour if we are coming back to Koyoto.
We learned so much about Sake and the way it is made, we had lots of interesting facts, our guide was super helpful, we even met another interesting couple and went out for more drinks later, fully recommend
Kiyomi was our guide and she was the best tour guide ever. The charts and explanations were amazing and we walked away with so much knowledge of sake. This tour is a must if you want to learn about the history of sake and the different kinds.
i cant believe how much we learnt about Sake, it was so fascinating. Our guide was so much fun and knowledgeable, even though we were a small group we hd fun, I really recommend it.
The tour was informative and fun. Greg was a great guide and my husband and I cannot wait to go back in the fall for the advanced sake tasting! I love that we also got a sake cup to keep.
excellent for beginners ! greg and kiyomi are our hosts and they are very patient in explaining all the details of sake brewing during ancient times and even gave us tips on how to order/buy sake as it can be intimadating for foreigners , would definetly recommend this to anyone interested in sake making process!
Absolutely brilliant tour. Informative and fun. Both our guides were passionate, spoke fluent English. Sake was great and the food pairings were delicious. Would highly recommend this tour. One of our favourite days in Japan.
The tour was amazing. Now we know quite more about sake history and differences between sake types. Now we can choose sake by our own taste preferences.
Momoko was a fantastic guide, as she really went into detail about the history of sake (specifically the distillery we were at), and was very knowledgeable about the different kinds of sake. Well worth doing if you’ve ever been curious or wanted to improve your knowledge of the drink.
