Beginner Surf Experience in Gold Coast (Ages 13+)

I experienced surfing in Gold Coast. I had a great time with the help of a cheerful local surfer. The waves are only waist-high for an adult male (170cm). Sometimes, when the waves are strong, they come up to my chest. Even though I can't swim at all and am afraid of water, I was able to ride it. They also pick me up at Southport Station. It costs extra, but since the 702 bus runs occasionally anyway, if the cost is too much, you can take the bus.

The best water sport that I have ever had. Thorough and clear techniques and safty briefing with time for training were given. I was a total beginner and I was able to catch my own wave and stand up at the end of the lesson!

The family enjoyed the surf lesson. The instructors were friendly and supportive. The location was conveniently located in the central main beach area. There was a carpark just a few steps away. The school was also quick to address our query before our class. Overall great experience and definitely recommended.

Very good learning experience on an 'exclusive beach'. Teacher was professional and very encouraging. Make sure enough time is spared for travelling to the meeting point.

It was cancelled due to bad weather. Fortunately we got notified early in the morning. And refund was quick too.
