Reviews summaryOur guide, Oka, was very kind and provided excellent explanations about Niagara Falls. The rest stops and sightseeing spots during the journey to and from Niagara Falls were also very satisfying. The quality and location of our accommodation were great, allowing us to have an enjoyable evening. The bus was also comfortable. The tour finished on schedule, so there were no issues with our subsequent plans.
Hopefully, this helps fellow independent travelers. If you arrive at the meeting point as agreed and don't see anyone in a yellow vest, take the initiative to ask. Generally, the earliest tour buses are the ones. The two guides usually speak English and one other language; one speaks Chinese and English, and the other speaks Chinese and Japanese. The itinerary is rushed, but they stick to the schedule and are quite punctual. The driver is from Shanghai. The hotel was quite basic. Since we had a large group, we were split between hotels in the US and Canada. The Canadian side was more fun and had lively shopping centers. At the US hotel, when we went down for breakfast on time, there was only one staff member and they couldn't keep up with making breakfast, so those of us staying in the US didn't get any breakfast. Don't go down for breakfast at the time they tell you; go earlier. The scenery is beautiful. The tip for the tour leader is 20% of your tour fee. If possible, try to choose the Canadian side for better views of the falls.
It was a long journey to Niagara falls but well worth it. The maid of the mist boat ride, the beauty of mother nsture nature, the furious cascades of water down the rocks together with the refreshing mists spraying on my face somehow evokes a sense of peace in me. Truly an amazing experience for me.
well planned tour with relaxed timeline & itienarary, all tickets were included only additional amount i paid is for the tip. hotel stay is great, very nearby to the falls
Easy to find the bus at the meeting point, even though no one wears blue and yellow shirt. Yurika san is an experienced bilingual tour guide who speaks Japanese and Madarin. She was able to provide details for everything, from history of attraction sites to locations of souvenir shops and clean toilets. Noon: 30-min-walk at the Watkins Glen State Park. Beautiful scene 4pm: Arrived at the Niagara Falls, US side. We spent around 40 mins here taking pictures. Then got on the bus and crossed the border 5:30pm: arr. at Canada. 30mins only for photo-taking. Then got sent to the hotel: Comfort Hotel Niagara Falls. Had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Took Uber to see the firework at 10pm by the falls. Next day 8am: return to US side 9am: Maid in the mist. Bring sandals and roll up your pant legs over knees to stay dry. The poncho can cover everything except your face and lower legs. Noon: outlet 7:30pm: arrived at NYC Tips: USD 10 per person per day, as suggested by the tour guide
Nice tour. Fantastic view to Niagara falls and other ity. Food is not included and hotel is subjected to changes. Breakfast from the hotel is slightly disappointing but overall is good.
Delays from the morning can be minimized, the meeting time was 630am but bus departed almost 645am. Glen Watkins part had a lot of walking through muddy parts, not sure if this location is necessary, because we arrived super late at Canada side which was the highlight and we only had 45 mins left. The daily tip of USD10 per day, per tourist can also be mentioned as part of itinerary so we can expect it.
Am informed that the tour code is NIA. Logistically not very well organized; having issue at departure as I could not locate anyone from Gray Line as mentioned in the itinerary. I had to check and being briefly informed that I was part of the tour group with others in Italian and Japanese languages. I understand everyone's preference needs to be met but the English was not loud enough initially even though through the microphone on the bus. The bus driver drove fast and at times, slightly reckless; one incident was at the initial journey when we were supposed to turn into a slip-road to enter another expressway. Almost collide with the vehicle from the back as both are changing lanes to move forward. Overall, the tour was generally okay, and the Japanese guide took care of us.
It was a very fun and worthwhile trip. Our tour guide, Xiangzi, took great care of everyone. Although her native language is Japanese, her Chinese is also very good. She translated everything into both Japanese and Chinese throughout the tour and was very friendly. The waterfall was incredibly spectacular and beautiful, especially the Maid of the Mist boat ride, which allowed us to see the waterfall up close. It was an unforgettable experience.
This local tour is highly recommended. The itinerary was well-planned, the waterfall views were magnificent, and the trip even included a boat ride for a close-up experience with the falls. It was a very enjoyable experience.
