Book the Morning Slot: For the absolute best experience, join our morning sessions (before 10 AM). The ocean is calmest, visibility is crystal clear, and sea turtles are most active during their morning feeding.
Eat Light: We recommend having a very light breakfast or snack before the tour. Even in calm waters, a full stomach can sometimes cause mild seasickness for beginners.
Reef-Safe Sunscreen Only: Mirissa’s corals are beautiful but fragile. Please bring reef-safe sunscreen to protect the marine ecosystem. (Tip: Apply it at least 30 minutes before getting into the water!)
Let the Turtles Approach You: Turtles are naturally curious creatures. If you stay calm and float quietly, they often swim right up to you! Never try to touch or chase them, as it causes them stress.

Sadeep, the local operator, who is also the snorkeling guide and expert was very thorough with everything. First, he suggested that we have to move our booking from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM for better weather conditions of the trip, and glad we did! Secondly, he picked us up earlier 8:50 AM which was very nice. Thirdly, upon arriving at the area where we gonna do the activity, he explained everything: from the dos and donts, our snorkeling experiences, etc. Fourth, we saw a total of 3 turtles and it was a great experience! Lastly, Sadeep offered a king coconut as refreshments after the activity. It was fun, well guided trip and very affordable.
