Nanwan Monkey Island Ecotourism Area

Nanwan Monkey Island, located on the Nanwan Peninsula in Lingshui, is China's only island-type macaque nature reserve. Thousands of wild macaques live among the mountains and forests on the island, offering visitors the chance to observe them foraging, playing, and engaging in group activities up close, providing a unique experience of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

The journey to the scenic area itself is a major highlight. Visitors can take a cross-sea sightseeing ropeway across the bay, overlooking fishing rafts, Danjia fishing villages, and the azure sea from above. As the cable car slowly moves forward, the scenery where mountains and sea meet unfolds before your eyes, making it one of Hainan's most distinctive sightseeing experiences.

In addition to the monkey-watching experience, the scenic area also features observation decks, forest trails, and sea view photo spots.
