Peak of Three Gorges

The Three Gorges Peak Scenic Area is located on the top of Chijia Mountain, above Kuimen Gorge. It stretches for over 10 kilometers, starting from Zuofangcao in the north, overlooking Baiyan Mountain in the south, gazing at Baidi Poetic City in the west, and bordering Wushan Airport in the east. The Three Gorges Peak Scenic Area is named after Du Fu's poem "Ten Quatrains of Kuizhou Songs," which reads "Chijia and Baiyan both pierce the sky, with villages winding up to the mountain peak." It successfully opened on May 1, 2020, and was rated as a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction in October 2020.

Located in one of the birthplaces of ancient Kui music over 4,000 years ago, it gave birth to "Kui," a musician and the progenitor of elegant music in Chinese history. The scenic area deeply integrates green mountains and clear waters with tracing ancestral roots, and elegant song and dance, vividly portraying the magnificent landscape with the lines "Green mountains are paintings without ink for a thousand autumns, clear waters are zithers without strings for ten thousand ages." It has meticulously created musical sanctuaries such as the Kui Drum Altar, Siwang Music Altar, Statue of the Ancestor of Music, Kui Character Gate, Zhulu Yalan, and Yinglong Terrace.

The highest point of the scenic area is 1388 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the physical form of the Yangtze Three Gorges, the most beautiful in its landscape form, the most virtuous in its cultural aspect, the most supreme in its spiritual aspect, and the most perfect in its green development. Ascending to this place, clouds and mist swirl, and colorful clouds spread; looking out, mountains stretch endlessly, with peaks rising one after another; looking down from above, the Yangtze River, like a jade belt, winds and flows. Stepping onto the glass skywalk, one can experience the unparalleled artistic conception of "When I reach the summit, all other mountains are small," and a picturesque scroll of "suspense, danger, surprise, and wonder" unfolds before one's eyes.
