Milford Sound Cruise & Coach Day Tour

I had an amazing experience on the Milford Sound Day Tour from Queenstown. The journey itself was just as memorable as the destination. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting facts about the region, making the long drive feel enjoyable. We made several scenic stops along the way, giving us plenty of opportunities to take photos of beautiful mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and valleys. Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking. The cruise was well organized, comfortable, and offered incredible views from every angle. Seeing the towering cliffs, lush rainforest, and cascading waterfalls up close was unforgettable. We were also lucky enough to spot wildlife, including seals and several birds, which made the experience even more special.

Wonderful tour experience! We had Paulie as our bus driver and guide and he was super friendly and knowledgeable about the whole route, sharing fun facts about the different stops and sights along the way + the bus ride was smooth and really comfortable. The cruise experience was amazing too, we managed to catch a bunch of different sights as it had rained prior and it was overall a really magical and beautiful experience. The cruise also had a cafe with some food & drinks for lunch and the viewing decks were super nice to see the scenery from. Overall great experience, would definitely join again!

The journey from Queenstown to Milford Sound takes approximately 6 hours. There will be brief stops in Te Anau and at a few small scenic spots for passengers to take photos and use the restrooms. The fjord's landscape is incredibly majestic and well worth the trip.

Real NZ's bus was very comfortable, the driver was very friendly, and we stopped to take many photos. This trip was unforgettable, Milford Sound was beautiful, the waterfall was spectacular, and we were lucky to see dolphins. Real NZ's boat was very comfortable, and the staff on it were very interesting and experienced in explaining Milford Sound. The only pity was that the weather was too good that day. I heard that you can see more waterfalls on rainy days.

Amazing tour. Ian was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the whole drive to the ferry. A must do if your travelling to Milford sound. The captain of the ferry was also very entertaining, thank you RealNZ team for such an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour and will be booking future experiences with RealNZ.

The long bus ride is definitely worth it with a few side trip/drop off for quick photo op. Milford is indeed majestic. A plus that I got to learn a few history, trivia with the very knowledgable driver whom can multitask while driving, awesome!

I departed from Lake Te Anau (about a 2.5-hour drive). Those driving can park by the lake or in the parking lot near the public restrooms. We took a tour bus with large panoramic glass windows (the ceiling was also transparent), and the Fiordland National Park scenery along the way was absolutely stunning. They also made stops for restroom breaks. There might be charging ports on the bus. Upon arriving at Milford Sound, you'll see the RealNZ boats. Each boat probably holds more than 50 people. The scenery is incredibly beautiful, and the captain will take everyone to spot dolphins and waterfalls. The round trip cruise also takes about 2 hours. I recommend preparing a windproof and waterproof jacket and shoes, and bringing your own snacks. This is definitely a must-visit itinerary in New Zealand!

milford sound trip was great. but i wanna focus on our driver peanut. very patient, he has a soothing voice while talking. he explain thing thoroughly. he does not get agitated even other guest are annoying and he is always hands on. the drive is very safe going and leaving milford sound

The most unforgettable and rewarding experience! Lovely driver especially, I love the radio on board, lots of familiar and classic songs that I can sing along with. And we were so lucky that it was a cloudy and rainy day so that we could see multiple small waterfalls besides the big ones.

Although the ride is long, it's more comfortable than driving yourself. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and the driver will stop along the way to let everyone get off and take pictures. The fjord is really worth a trip, it's very spectacular.
