Thai Cooking Class & Market Tour in Bang Tao, Phuket

The experience with Arun Thai was incredible. I really enjoyed taking the tuktuk to the market. I got to see the local ingredients and also tasted some of the seasonal fruits. Love the local experience! The decor of the school is amazing with nice crafty vibes. very cosy and homely environment. The teacher was very patient with clear instructions. I felt it was the best phad thai that I ever had, great balance of flavour. We also got to experience making Somtum the local way. It was very appetising and refreshing. If you’re visiting Phuket with family, just book this class. Seriously. 😆 We had such a fun time from start to finish. The market tour was a great experience. We got to learn about local ingredients, herbs and spices that we normally wouldn’t know much about. The chef were patient, knowledgeable and made everything easy to follow, even for complete beginners. From prep work to plating, everything was hands-on and well organised. The recipes were simple enough to recreate at home, yet packed with authentic Thai flavours. What I loved most was that it wasn’t just a cooking class, it became a family activity where everyone got involved, laughed, cooked together and enjoyed a fantastic meal together at the end. No fuss, no stress, just good food and great memories. Highly recommend for families, groups of friends, or anyone who loves Thai food. P.S. Next time, I’d skip the restaurant and just come back here. We made enough delicious food to feed an army! 😆🍳✨

This was by far our favourite experience in Phuket. Chele, our guide and teacher was funny, knowledgeable and an incredible chef. She made the whole experience both entertaining and easy to follow. The visit to the local market gave us a fascinating insight into the traditional Thai ingredients, fresh produce, seafood, and meats making us appreciate the incredible flavours that go into Thai cuisine. The highlight was cooking the dishes ourselves, we were all amazed at just how delicious everything turned out! It was a fun, hands on experience from start to finish, and one we would recommend to anyone visiting Phuket. If I could I would give this class 10 stars, I absolutely would!

My friends and I spent a week in Phuket and were looking for a fun activity to do together. Since we had previously enjoyed a cooking class at Arun Thai Cooking School in Bangkok, we were excited to discover that they have opened a new branch in Phuket. The experience was as enjoyable as we remembered. The chef spoke good English, making the class easy to follow and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the tuk-tuk ride to the local market, where we got to learn more about the fresh ingredients used in Thai cuisine. The school is modern, clean, and conveniently located in Bangtao, close to our hotel. The staff were very warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the morning. We had a good time cooking, learning, and sharing the experience together. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning in Phuket, and I would highly recommend Arun Thai Cooking School to anyone looking for a fun, authentic, and memorable activity.

This lovely hidden spot in a quiet village near Phuket Airport is ideal to visit right after landing, with amazing value and lush greenery all around. The warm Singaporean owner cooked alongside me, translated patiently and even shared great local travel tips as my personal guide. The recipes are simple to recreate and turn out beautifully. His sweet girlfriend kept capturing photos and videos of the whole fun experience. Totally worth coming!

Really happy I did this Thai cooking class before my flight home. The owners were super friendly and welcoming, and the chef made everything so easy to follow and interactive. We made these delicious dishes ourselves and everything turned out amazing! I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Phuket.

We booked a cooking class with a market tour during our family trip, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. The market tour was a great experience for my daughter, who rarely visits wet markets in Singapore. It was also fun having my parents with us. Together with the chef, they shared tips on choosing fresh ingredients, and the kids learned a lot along the way. The chef made the class fun and engaging despite speaking only basic English. The dishes were delicious and easy to prepare as a family. We had a wonderful time bonding together and would definitely return to learn more dishes in the future.

We booked a cooking class for our family of 9 during our recent Phuket trip, and it was an excellent experience. I rarely cook, in fact the last time I stepped into a kitchen to make something was over 10 years ago. We wanted an activity that both the young and old could enjoy, something different that also brought everyone together. This was exactly that. The session was well planned from the market visit to the cooking and finally enjoying the dishes we prepared ourselves. It was engaging, easy to follow, and most importantly, everyone had fun. It even made me want to step into the kitchen again. Kudos to the team at Arun Thai for a memorable experience.

We had such a great experience at this cooking school! The class was both fun and very educational. We received a warm welcome, and since we happened to be the only participants that day, we ended up having a private cooking class, which made the experience even more special. Our instructor spoke excellent English, explained every step clearly, and was always happy to help if something didn’t go as planned. She patiently answered all of our questions with detailed explanations, which made it easy to learn and understand the techniques. We prepared four delicious dishes, and we learned so much throughout the class. Everything we made tasted amazing! Everyone working there was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and passionate. We would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting the area. It’s a wonderful experience and definitely worth it!

We had the most amazing time today with the Arun Thai Cooking team ! The place is really nice with AC inside, and an outdoor kitchen with modern equipment in a cute little garden 🌱 Everything was well explained, everyone there is so nice and speaks perfectly English as well ! Needless to say, the food was absolutely delicious 🍲 We strongly recommend you take the morning class with the market tour, it was overall one of our best activities during our trip and we definitely will try cooking classes when visiting new countries from now on !
